this is every reason why mick taylor should still be in that band.....he utterly transforms them...he did 40 years ago and he still does...

THIS is the performance people have waited to see or so many years--Mick Taylor fully reunited with the Stones. The chemistry is still there. Wow.

Yes. Wish I'd paid more attention to the Rolling Stones in the Mick Taylor era. (I was young but not too young.) Someone told me that their live shows in those days with the guitar tandem of Richards and Taylor were some of the best performances in R&R history.

I am 47, I first knew the Rolling Stones, on 1981 (emotional Rescue) nw I have lot of books, CDs, DVDs, etc...It is amazing that after 50 years, passing through ups and downs, they are loyal o their roots and doing the best rock & Roll ever on this planet. Keith Richards said once, that he dream of dying on playing on the stage.....I do hope, this takes aotehr 50 year in the minimun. It is a privilege to listen to a living legend!! ROCKAND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE !!!!

It's so unbelievably wonderful to see Mick Taylor BACK WHERE HE BELONGS ON A MAJOR STAGE PLAYING WITH A MAJOR BAND! This man TRULY DESERVES to be able to display his awesome talent in front of as many people as possible and NOT in some of the run down clubs and bars that he's been playing at for a countless number of years now.

I'm close to a tear seeing Mick as the guest guitarist and having to leave the stage :/ Its great seeing him back with them, the Taylor era was definitely the best!

I'm just glad that after so many years have gone by we still have a band that gets together and jams. I loved them when we were young and I love them now that we have grown old. Not everyone has had that privilege. Rock on!

I love the extra bite Mick Taylor's guitar gives this song. That razor sharp tone is unmistakable.

I'm not rich never won no lottery but some how I feel I've won it all. Talking about being at the right place at the right time. So many excellent bands from this era. And to have them come back so many years later with that extra thing that set them apart in the first place. I feel like I've won The biggest crown of all, to follow these guys for so many years and everything they went through, and still have that good old rock & roll--Amen

Mick looks in fantastic shape and there's a lot of good vibes flowing among the band members too. Maybe there's enough magic in the air for another album or two? Keep on rocking guys, inspirational stuff. (Many thanks to the uploader.)

Mick and Mick. I saw them do this at MSG in '72. Jagger had a Morrocan belt he whipped around to accent the lyric. Mr. Taylor was so cool standing down stage and working every note. This was pre-Ronnie. I wish everyone could have been there.

I say it's great to hear and see Mick Taylor again. But, let's also be glad for Ron Wood too! He has been and still is a great part of that Stones' sound and I think it's great they're all together. He's generous for giving Taylor a long deserved spotlight, knowing what to play to complement him and what not to play. Ron doesn't need to go anywhere - Mick can return and they're all the Stones! Better than ever.

Huge emotion moment! i was very fortunate to see them close! legendary band!

Keith sticks to RHYTHM, which is WHAT HE SHOULD DO, while Mick T's fluid soloing throughout the song tie it all together. again BRILLIANT !!!!

I hope they paid Mick Taylor a considerable sum for this appearance. He made the Stones what they are today, and played guitar on many of their classic songs. He lived near poverty and in addiction for a long time, and the Stones refused to share their millions with him. He's been in recovery since 1990, and hopefully the Stones have seen fit to share some of their wealth with him. He deserves it, and he can still really play!!!

Great performance from Mick Taylor, dramatically better than the 25th Nov show, which was patently under-rehearsed. This time he just laid back and relaxed and let his fingers do the walking! This single track showcases what MT brought to the band, a beautiful and creative lead counterpoint and melody to Keith's riffs. Actually the three guitar interplay, trading licks, with full rehearsals could even be better. Love to see MT invited back for one last world tour!
@gorblimey6112 жыл бұрын
Taylor was the best guitar player the Stones ever had IMHO.

Very good, did you check out my clip from the same show? see "Midnight Rambler The Rolling Stones featuring Mick Taylor London 29th Nov 2012 - Moves Like Jagger!
I bet if they played it two more times it would be tight enough . Mick is very fired up trying to play everything at once in his allotted time ! He should play for the rest of the show.

Taylor is simply great. The Stones were much less when he left.

If Keef can't deal with MT, it's his insecurity. Taylor and the Stones? A match made in heaven.
@rkl1712 жыл бұрын
You are partially correct. The Stones were pretty devastated when Mick Taylor left the band. But Taylor was also feeling pretty roughed up, after being left off of the credits of songs he helped create. Songs that stand the test of time, yet he does not collect royalties on. I am hopeful that the Stones are making this right - and having MT on the tour is one way to do that. Paying him well is another. But Mick and Keith DO NOT hate MT. Read Keith's book LIFE. Jagger loves Taylor.

Yes. A match made in heaven indeed. Such a shame that they couldn't see it themselves - Jagger and Richards, I mean.Surely now they must realise what they lost.
