For me they are the best Band of all time. The modern shit heavy metal have no bass, and using a machine type guitar tuning. They call themeselfs rockers, wearing black outfit, but they look down on these bands. They made the rock and roll. The " only heavy metal rocker" should put so much more respect to Stones. Any ‘would be’ drummers out there should study this man. I done it for 5 years straight. Missing the 4th on the hats is a beautiful technique. When I stated playing I was tuned in to Charlie and have always played that way. It help you create so much when you get behind your kit and when you hear it played back you it’s a beautiful thing. Those opening 3 chords just crashing...unmistakable! I've heard it a million times at every HS, College and NFL game I've been to! Keith playing with the Open G tuning! Such a crowd-pleasing, and fun song to hammer out. It didn't occur to me back then how brilliant the Stones were in the late 70's and early 80's to embrace the punk vibe at the time. It vaulted them clear of the whole British invasion perception. Absolutely in a class by themselves.

I worked this tour in Miami 89 and wow that stage was HUGE I'll never forget that show I was 21. I've been in the music industry 34 years this year till I can't physically do it anymore and then I'll go on doing it anyway!! 🤘😎🥁🔥

RIP Charlie one of the best drummers in Rock &Roll I saw this tour in the Early 1990's and was incredible.

When you have grown up with a group all your life , from the age of 11 , and now in 60’s , it hits you hard when one is suddenly no more ..... it’s very upsetting, but I hope they will still have Charlie as a hologram on stage , with them ...... RIP CHARLIE great guy..... 🌹🌹🌹
