Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching. This is the first full 4K video and, wow, is it on a great job. In the last video, Ethan witnessed a framed dump trailer rollover. We didn't get the job of uprighting that particular dump trailer, but later that week we did get to work THIS dump trailer rollover. Our customer gets off to a "rocky" start at a construction site when a dump trailer starts to get a little sideways...or decides to lay down on the job, however you choose to see it. There were mountains to climb and we couldn't take anything for "granite" on this "rock"-overy. I know, I "shale" stop with the "gravel" puns. Anyway, our crew uses our Peterbilt 389-X with a Miller Industries, Century 1150R Rotator towing and recovery unit and our Peterbilt 337 with a Century 4024, 20 ton towing and recovery unit, to try to solve this problem. Hopefully, the watch has been worth the wait!!! I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

I built and repaired dump trailers for over 25 years. Nice to see a really good recovery. I've dealt with more than a few units that the recovery people did more damage than the roll over. And you were lucky the hydraulic cylinder retracted, often they were damaged and it wouldn't collapse. But REALLY nice work.

I'm thinking about moving to America, just to learn from Ron. My off-road recoveries have improved (and probably a lot, lot safer) thanks to Ron and Casey LaDelle. Now the only complaints I get, when doing my winching, is that I over-engineer it. My response? "It never hurts to think of Safety"

Here's a little lineman's trick Ron. Fold the tape over on itself when your done with it. That goes for the roll and whatever your taping. It just leaves you a tiny tab so you can always remove the tape from the roll and the thing you taped. We have to do that on powerlines because of our rubber gloves and leather covers. I promise if you get in the habit of doing it. You'll do it every time without thinking.

@RonPratt
@RonPratt Жыл бұрын
@Paul Crumley I wish I had kept the camera rolling for that part, because it turned out to be the most difficult part of the job. The uprighting was simple in comparison!! What I thought was going to be a simple hookup and tow turned into quite the challenge We couldn't tow the combination with the Rotator because of the narrow driveway and culvert. We used the single axle Pete and had very little weight on the steer tires. Loose dirt, loose gravel, hillside, narrow driveway, and gravity proved to be a difficult combination. We considered "split-towing" them, but the aforementioned conditions created the same problems for dropping the partially loaded trailer. We made it, but there were a few "hairy" moments. Thanks for watching and God bless.

Your attitude and attention to safety is always above and beyond standards very professional and very respectful. But your actions are also the reason that his grace is so strong, and his mercy is so powerful that those who are suffering can be calmed and loved. Thanks for your service. I enjoy your work and tutoring towards the future of your business and those young men growing into a successful and well respected professional.
