The Rolling Stones - Under The Boardwalk 1964 Vs 2013 (Version evolution)

-The lyric describes a tryst between a man and his beloved in a seaside town, who plan to privately meet "out of the sun" and out of sight from everyone else under a boardwalk. -The instrumentation includes güiro, triangle and violins. The song's chorus is unusual in that it switches from a major to minor key.
-The opening line of the song references the Drifters' prior hit "Up on the Roof", showing the occasional thermal weakness of the rooftop getaway and setting the stage for an alternate meeting location, under the boardwalk.

Wow! This takes me back down memory lane. I was in my matric year & all of 17 when this was a big hit. The Rolling Stones came after the Beatles & they were the real bad boys of Rock & Roll in the 1960’s. Nothing could make my father clear 3 stairs at a time, upstairs to our bedroom, when he heard us listening to these great songs - calling it *Ducktail music* & telling my sister & I “ to turn that hellish racket off”. When I listen to the lyrics there was not a swear word or „F“ Word to be heard. None of them were calling their girlfriends hoes or telling them to snuff out their mothers. Not a tattoo was in sight. Give me the Rolling Stones any day. They were great times.

First of all because the video and de sound track have nothing to do with each other. The Rolling Stones never sung this song. It's a song from the Drifters (although I love the version by the California Honeydrops). Secondly, it seems you never went to a real Rolling Stones performance. In the '60s the girls in the audience where screaming so hard that it hurt in one's ears and that it even overpowered the sound of the band.

I fully agree, Tom. They shouldn't allow fake content like this on KZbin. Besides, the guy who put this together doesn't seem to be one of the brightest under the sun. He doesn't even know that the lyrics are "under the boardwalk" and not "under the broadwalk".
