Mick Taylor with The Stones was a solid miracle. He turned them into a real live band, and that's a fact. They hadn't played live in three years when he joined, and when they played early on, the girls screamed louder than the music. He shaped The Stones live, and that "Rolling Stones Sound" has him to thank profusely.

Nicky Hopkins playing is just beautiful. Mick Taylor adds tension in the solo. Micks vocal performance is graceful and Keith's Rythm is brilliant. Charlie and Bill are on point. The sax joining in towards the end puts the cherry on top
@MoonStone26264 ай бұрын
This version is so good. Taylor's solo is beautiful, oceanic, spiritual. Keith's rhythm is precise, balanced and with perfect sound. Jagger is totally given to singing. Lets not forget Wyman on bass, wow, what a pulsating bass, and Watts is of course so adept here too. On a personal note, I wonder is there has been another melodic guitar player anywhere all those years, that could match Mick Taylor in infusing soul and deep melody to a guitar...

Not a bad song, but to me this is a sociologist's way of saying "be satisfied with less". And I don't agree with that. I agree with the basic lyric in that you can't always get what you want. In fact MOST OF THE TIME everyone doesn't get what they want, but you work for it. You strive for it. You go out there an attempt to achieve it. And, if you're given enough time and put in enough effort, YOU DO GET WHAT YOU WANT. And sometimes more. So, ... I just don't agree with the song, and I don't agree with it's message.
