Brett described himself possessing moral courage- there is far less of that around than physical courage.
@namelessbroadcasterАй бұрын
There is no such thing as moral in Brett's world view. There is only the whim of power. He is using moral as a metaphor. There is no God or Allah in evolutionary 'morality', and without a divine origin, morality is just the whim of the current power structure. The same is true of Peterson, but until his turn during the conversation with Brett and Heather only a few believed it. Peterson left the field of the atomized the Indvidual's overcoming and now uses morality as a word for "serves the whim of my preferred power structure" and for some bizarre reason he is on a speaking and interview tour explaining how it is all a game, and they want people to think of God as their imagination for purposes of a game. This is the "atheist and their employees on parade trying to trick people by using the words god, morality, and prayer all the time" phase of the decline of the West.

The only way that idea would even come _close_ to working is in some star trek utopia where _everyone's_ needs are met and nothing takes "work" to achieve - otherwise, people are just arguing in defense of slavery. Any "work" would have to be both enjoyable (in some way to someone) and entirely voluntary. In that case, though, money would cease to have meaning as a form of exchange.

Great to listen to two great minds. As always there is plenty to take away. Happiness is transitory and without suffering would not exist. Thanks for your contribution to helping more understanding about important life issues.

I think many of us are heartened, relieved and hopeful as a result of the far reaching conversations opened up by these gentlemen, their like minded associates and more recently the emergence of politicians who will talk openly about Truth, God and question the Woke Mind Virus. More of it, I say; it's not just the Republic being saved. We're watching with baited breath across the world.

Innocence in the child can give you happiness because we adults have forgotten how to be kids. The struggle & challenging is how to manage that responsibilities while having our own needs in other areas.

Lots of wisdom here guys, thanks! My bottom line, “we’re just passin’ through, this place is not our home, gotta bring as many as we can along”. And while we’re here, try to make things better, encourage, challenge & share the true Lover of our souls. Sounds like an interesting meeting in DC. ✨🎵💜Dawn(Mike too)

Gents - Thank you for this conversation (as always). Bret, when you defined "The room is not 'the room'," I was reminded of James Carse and his book "Finite and Infinite Games" (which he admitted should have been titled something like, "Finite Games and 'The' Infinite Game"). I read it some years ago, and found it deeply meaningful. I've thought about it many times when Jordan talks about what I might refer to as "the sacred future". I will be with y'all in spirit this week in DC. Let's make sure there remains something to save!

I find today’s parents to be super protective.. in the era I grew up in (50’s&60’s) we were out running free until dark and sometimes we’d camp out and run free all night too!

Bret, the voters of the Republican Party, if not the Party itself, have been in transition for a long time. You just didn't notice from inside your bubble. They have been transitioning toward you, and to the same extent, more recently, you have been transitioning toward them.
