The room where it happens- Sanders Sides Animatic

Hello KZbin!
Here you have my very first animatic . Kinda had to rush it a bit to finish it before the new Sanders Aside episode comes out. Had a lot of fun doing it, so i'll probably make more. (Do not expect regular uploads, I have no time-managment skills). Anyways, I hope that you like it!!

I love the idea that Logan let Janus take his place willingly just so that someone could get through to them

Yeah same. My favourite part about this is that Logan doesn't intially have the same resentment towards Janus that Burr already has for Hamilton in the musical at the point in time when this song happens, and even at the end when he gets mad at him, you don't get the sense that he hates him the way Virgil and now Roman seem to, just that he's desperate for answers, to understand, to be included. He's Thomas's logic, damnit! How is he supposed to do his job when he doesn't have all the facts? I feel like this is being conveyed really well in the animation that it's almost completely divorced from the emotional context of the source material that would have you thinking these characters are enemies. Especially when Janus can see Logan about to head down a dangerous path and tries to stop him for his and Thomas's sake. I could probably do a whole breakdown of this animatic and everything that's great with it. Seriously, every frame conveys so much with so little!

@@ambersioux The Putting others first video. the one where Thomas is upset about the wedding and Patton turns into a frog. what Cassidy Yeager is trying to say is that when she saw Roman crying in this video she thought about Roman being upset with Thomas in Putting others first. Roman at the end of POF states " Thomas, I thought I was your hero." and sinks down. He does so because of the fact that Thomas was listening to Janus. Roman did not trust Janus therefore he thought Thomas was leaving him behind. This explains why Cassidy stated " 'the pieces that are sacrificed in every game of chess' roman crying. me: intense POF war flashbacks". Wow. My heart twisted when Patton ran right past Logan to comfort Roman, not even noticing that Logan is hurting, too. No wonder Logan thinks the others don't care about him. And that end was chilling... I also liked how the Skip button was a recurring motif here, though it wasn't until Logan had to break it that I realized it was a physical barrier that he couldn't get through. The idea that the Skip button is something that lasts rather than just a one-time thing is so sad... :'(

yo this is perfect, everything just ties together so nicely, i love the idea of logan and janus just having a casual conversation before janus impersonates him, I *felt* that "pieces that are sacrificed in every game of chess" panel, and at the end when the skip sign cracks orange and then in the very last panel we see logans eyes and his smile and the lighting is so cool in that panel because it looks like hes literally leaving the light-

Right, so I need to comment on this, however late. I really admire how well thought out this animatic is. The build up comes across perfectly with the music and Logan slowly losing it. You've communicated what was happening without over explaining and broke poor Logan (yippie! Love me some nerd angst) while keeping everyone else sympathetic. The way he turned on Janus at the end felt so natural and only made the end more chilling. Orange side Logan animatics are a joy to watch, and this is one of my favorites. :)

I really love everything about this. But I think my favorite bit is the background color shifting. White for the light sides and a blue grey for the dark. Ok I’m addicted to this animatic. The art style is amazing and also thanks for introducing me to this song I’m addicted to the song now, too. The animatic is excellent and well drawn and I’M OBSESSED WITH THE JANUS COUNTING FRAME HIS FAICAL EXPRESSION AND POSE IS JUST YES! Sorry, I just love that frame. The whole animatic is amazing and the facial expressions and characters and just it’s all amazing. It all flows so well and the idea itself is beautiful. I love the addition of the skip button, I feel like them skipping Logan’s facts definitely hurt Logan since he’s so passionate about adding information to try to help. Also the frame in the beginning where Janus is laughing I love so much. I just love this whole thing and some of the small details are amazing. The expressions, poses, the story, the addition of Logan studying his vocab cards before Roman comes through the door, like it’s all so beautiful. I’m in love with this animatic. And of course nothing is perfect but honestly this is a masterpiece to me I’m baffled how people disliked this video. I’m a huge fan of this animatic, song, and Thomas Sanders. And am I the only one who likes how Logan hurt Janus’s arm and Janus is just like super concerned? Now if you excuse me I’m gonna write my fan fic while watching this and listening to it on loop on the background. I love this masterpiece and I applaud you.
