The "Roosterbrood Queen from the Karoo" Tannie Poppie heads to Italy

A few weeks ago, the SABC brought you the story of Tannie Poppie, also known as the '"Roosterbrood Queen from the Karoo".
As part of her fundraising efforts for her trip to Italy to cater a cycling event, the 63-year-old baker showed off her mastery with her famous bread.
Rosaline van As says she is battling to contain her excitement about her very first overseas visit.
Tannie Poppie makes and sells her roosterbrood in a small food stall next to the N-1 Highway in Laingsburg in the Western Cape.
