Queen of the Rooster Bread

Tannie Poppie is knows as the Queen of the Rooster Bread. With a cheeky twinkle in her eye, and her infectious laugh, it would be easy to think that she doesn't have a care in the world. But there have been very dark times, and she has had to face much heartache.
When we experience hurt, forgiveness is hard to practice. But by facing up to the pain and anger, and reaching a place of true forgiveness, she has been able to transform anger and hurt into healing and peace.

What a lovely woman. I began by wanting to eat her bread. And then I heard what happened to her daughter. My daughter was torn from her life and from her children by the same cruel means. The pain of this loss is indescribable and my heart can never be mended. But like dear Tannie Poppie, I still enjoy being kind to other people.
