NP student here. I always found it interesting how nothing about preservatives, pesticides etc and how it affects the inflammatory process is included in a medical program. Although I do believe in the advances of conventional medicine, we are trained to manage the symptoms rather than seek solutions making the most honest clinician to follow the status quo of Healthcare. Thank you guys for keeping me grounded and humbling me as a future provider. I think at the end of the day, clinicians have to look beyond their egos and realize that many parts of their training may not best way to practice

When they talk about going outside being in the sun and how it’s good for our health, it makes so much sense. I just think back to when I was a kid/teenager and we’d go camping or be out at a Bible camp, we had a camper or cabins, but 90% of our time was spent outside. I felt so much better and happier during those times than I did just sitting at home indoors like we usually did. I loved when my parents would have a day or evening of working outside on a car or mowing the yard and my siblings and I were out there helping. It was a fun and bonding time and it felt so good when we came inside to go to sleep. I think we slept better after having a day outside.
@Ritalie29 күн бұрын
The sun is not good for you. Yes it feels nice. But UV light directly damages DNA, because UV penetrates past the skin into the cells. That's why the body reacts by producing melanin and Vitamin D3 to try to prevent the damage. Most of the New Age medical information is right. But sunlight, vegetables and fruits, are not beneficial. And you cannot find a single controlled long term study which would show that there is any benefit. Because they aren't beneficial. The medical system is currently pushing Sunlight. They say you have to go out into the sun daily. They've been wrong about every aspect of nutrition for 30 years. They can't be trusted.

True. Unfortunately some things are no longer possible because the devil Burgdorfer and his military rat lab fellows infested the outdoors with Lyme. Those new types of borrelias were not out there several decades ago. They had tu build them in labs. Familiar isn't it? Plum island...or some place across the globe...the same devils. Thus my brother - who used to be such an easygoing lad in the woods - goes out there now as if in a space suit: wellington boots, long sleeves everything, multiple layers, protected. Wrong very wrong you military devils. That is all you can do about it, swear...or get the Lyme and suffer. Chronic Lyme is not even recognized by the regime "experts." That would bankrupt the system further. So ...there is countervailing power to being outhere: fear.

As a person who was married to someone in medical school and attended classes and followed him through the entire process- i concur that he absolutely knew nothing about diet, nutrition, espoused guidelines and became robotic just like they are “programmed” to be. People put way too much faith in the current western medical system and trust them too much with their health and lives. Many MD’s are never questioned and people follow them and never think for themselves and do their own research. It would take other MD’s to finally speak up like her for people to listen. Nature and natural foods and medicines, first. More people in my family have died from chronic illness that were after years of being prescribed one medicine after another to treat the problem that was caused after one medicine- domino effect/ whack o mole.

I appreciate Casey Means' practical tips about walking and getting outside more often. Exercise does not have to include a gym membership. I learned from Dr. Lustig the value of suplementing both fibers but took it a step further in its application and as often as I can consume a table spoon in water each time I eat some questionable food or drink. My reasoning was I can't abruptly change what I eat because my wife does the shopping and prepares the meals and is not entirely on board. It will take time, and meanwhile, I can take some action for myself. Without going into great detail, the results, both blood test and weight loss, have been notable and noticeable by other casual observers. At 78, it is very rewarding and offers hope for others to take control. Good health is not a lottery.

We did this. 80% of our food comes from our backyard after 3 years. Goats for dairy, rabbits, poultry, eggs, big garden for staples like potatoes, onions, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes and zucchini for pickles. We barter help or farm sitting with other farm friends for grass fed beef etc. We grow salads in summer but we have a 90 day growing season so winters we have to buy some veggies.

In my field, we call this "Totality of Circumstance".. There are so many things working against us that it is almost impossible to become healthy. As yoy and Casey and others in the industry get the word out, it starts to break down this institutional machine.. Right now, the average person has to prioritize the factors that we have control over like diet, exercise, filter our water, get better sleep, be more active, live outside of the city, less pharma, etc. Thank you guys for helping to pull the viel of deception away from our eyes. I saw Paul on his podcast mention that he wasn’t sure whether honey would have been available year around if he wasn’t at the equator. I am a full time beekeeper and I can tell him that YES, honey would always be available because bees store honey and consume it throughout the winter in order to survive the winter (probably in a hollow tree in the forest). Ancient man would have still been able to find these trees in the winter and open them up to steal the honey from the bees which is much easier in the cold weather because the bees move/fly much slower in the cold. Please pass this info on to Paul. Many thanks, Rudy Dean Beekeeper and animal based!
