A house i renovated was used as a clinic during the 1918 spanish flu pandemic. The only doctor who worked there fell in love with his nurse, got married to her and they went to Luderitz for their honeymoon where he tragically drowned. When i worked in this beautiful old house tears often filled my eyes whilst uncovering secrets left behind by his dedication to his patients. This was an experience that left me changed for the good. Seeing mercurichrome stains and hollowed out oregon pine floorboards while removing tarred over floors where beds had stood took me there to the hardships of war and sickness. This was in Aus, Namibia. I did my best to bring that clinic back to life and erected a wooden cross where there was once a flagpole on the roofs' apex. Author Lawrence Greene wrote about his experience during these tough times. After many years of desolation, the house is now back to its' former state and i pray that God uses it as a clinic or hospice or place of safety or place of worship or something good. Hardship draws His own nearer to Him, hallelujah!

God is not impotent, His will permeates throughout every single detail in the universe at all times. Determinism is scientific, Libertarian free will is undermined by neurology. Calvinism is coherent. God can be one yet three, Jesus can be fully man and fully God then God can be fully author and fully inculpable of all sins.

The first human beings must have had libertarian free will. Otherwise, through no fault of their own, and although sinless and perfect, they would have found themselves in a situation where they could not possibly have avoided sinning, and then God would have punished them for that unavoidable sin. But we know that God is good. And it is surely unthinkable that a good God would have done that. There are some who will respond to what I have just said by claiming that God's goodness is different from human goodness, so God's goodness would allow him to cause people to sin. However, when the Bible says 'God is good', God must be good in a way that is at least very similar to what we consider good. Otherwise 'God is good' would be meaningless to us. It would mean no more than 'God is the way God is.' So God must be good in the sense that we consider goodness good. And in our standard of goodness, it is surely unthinkable that a good God would cause innocent people to sin and then punish them for their sin. I am very concerned that those Christians who espouse this sort of idea have no conception that God is good. An extremely basic truth about God seems to be lacking from their understanding. I think those who think God causes innocent people to sin are probably not just in serious error, not just in heresy, but in blasphemy. God is good! It is right to say that God's will permeates throughout every single detail of the universe. But God can use acts of human free will as some of the building blocks to form his meticulously ordained universe. It doesn't have to be full ordination of the universe or (some degree of) human free will. It can be both.

Couldn’t agree with you more sister! Currently going through something and it seems like nothing is happening. Like this is it and sometimes I get myself thinking that God isn’t and that He doesn’t hear me, which shows my lack of confidence in Him. Although I don’t like my affliction/problem and I just want to race to the end results of what God is going to do with and through all of this I know I need to just take it a day at a time with God.
