I come from cowboys, and have a soft spot for anything with old-timey Western scenes. I have the brass horse and dog models from SMKW, but not this one yet. Chicago Knife Works often has RR models when SMKW is out. There are several other places that carry RRs - I just get to googling the model number and sometimes get lucky. There is always eBay, though that can get pricey. These are fun little knives! A whole year! Yowch!

Looks like it would make a great set piece for a closeup shot in a movie scene depicting some gents sitting around a table in the 1800s, playing poker, when one of the players reaches into his vest pocket, pulls out this knife and proceeds to cut his cigar and light it. Setting the knife down on the stained oak table, a glint of light reflects off the brass scales, catching the eye of the player to his right who comments, “Nice little blade,” to which the owner responds, “Yeah, picked it up back east when I was passing through Tennessee.” Thanks for the review and hope you enjoy the house.

Found this one last Fall, very impressive at 3x the price. I agree with your assessment, it could be used as an edc for many folks. Nice pick Mark, thanks for showing it.
