Yeah I'm really liking the Rough Ryder amber Jigged bone Whittler RR375. Love the coping Blade, and the shape. My dream wood carving knife would have four blades, a Wharncliffe for a main blade, a coping blade and a sheepsfoot blade and a spey blade. Wood carving is calming, I started learning how to wood Carve as therapy while recovering from spine fusion surgery in the fall of 2022. I Will be ordering the RR375 come Tuesday Cheers. Great review William, thanks man.

Good pieces. What is the book you have Mr Williams?
@WilliamsKnifeLife2 жыл бұрын
The book is "Levine's Guide to Knives and their values Expanded 3rd edition. " it's out of print but you can find them from book resellers. I think I paid about 35 dollars for this one.

You know, you are right. What a find it would be for your sweetie to allow you to whittle in the kitchen. Ya just gotta watch out for splinters in your pudding though.

I love to whittle. Just ordered the rough rider. The blades are more versatile. And the bi bkade is more then big enough for some whittling. 😊

Yup, whittling is good for my head - something easy to do with my brain and hands. You're right about the selection of blades - I'm not a fan of duplicates. I imagine that the Marbles would sit in the hand better even when using the pen blade. A good comparison, thank you. 👍

Can you tell me the book title it is you are referencing please.
@WilliamsKnifeLife3 жыл бұрын
It's Levine's Guide to Knives volume 3. It went to volume 5. They are out of print but can be found at BBC some book sellers. It original price on these were around 25 dollars, but now, they go for at least 40 when you can find them. I've seen people asking for over 10dollars for one in great shape.
