Best sailing channel on KZbin! We were THERE in this magnificent episode. You both have an impeccable skillset at filming and narration. The video editing is 💯 and you insert music in small doses that is spot on to whatever part of the journey you're highlighting. No other channel that I follow even comes close! I follow about 20 channels too 😊

Greetings from New Jersey, USA. I would just like to say that after only two days, I am addicted to your channel. So satisfying and fascinating to watch, and videos so well-made. You both are awesome. Boating is something I very well could have gotten into, but small boats and me do not get along very well because I get deathly seasick. I was 17 or 18 the last time I was on a small boat for a fishing trip off Cape May. I thought I would be ok. It was a mistake. I'm 52 now. Everything is for a reason. God bless you both and stay safe in your world travels! Cheers! ❤️

thanks for dispellng naustalgia re not going on to the med from bermuda. we opted for st. martin (wrong direction in huricane season). you were fortunate "sailing" thru the saragosa sea. dead flat for us and we deliberately left bermuda south in a slight gale to just get thru. wind disappeared quickly and once again motor sailing. yes, no envy for your north sea adventure, just sincere admiration, especially considering the length/weight of your boat.

A handy way of avoiding bits of the winch falling over the side is to use something like a cardboard box. Cut a hope in the bottom so that the winch sits nicely in the hole. And then if anything does come loose inadvertently it just falls in to the box.

Have you ever considered keeping some Scopoderm patches with you for any bad patches? They’re just small patches, usually stuck on behind the ear, and very effective at controlling seasickness. You can even cut them into half or a third if you don’t want the full dose. Might help for those odd occasions when the conditions are in a sick-inducing motion and help keep you fully functioning. Only side effect can be a slightly dry mouth, but then you go to a half?
