The Rover Is From The Future.. Here's Why | Wuthering Waves Lore

One of the biggest mysteries in wuthering waves is related to the origins of the rover. Where are they from, who are they really and why did they suddenly appear. Some claim the rover is from the past while others claim they have always been there. Well I think that there is evidence to that the rover is actually from the future and in this video I am going to explain why
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Wuthering Waves lore.

And Spoilers They are Probably on the Same level of Zhongli if we see the Sentinels as having a similar relationship to the Rover as the Adepti to Zhongli. But on a Grander scale. Like Primordial one levels if thry practically taught these Sentinels there powers. Seriously.

And I think.... scientist created god or god of time who is rover and as jue was rover's echo other big cities has one of rover's echo and Abby was the final enemy of rover who lost control after defeating Abby they became companion.

In the CBT1, there was a memory scene where the rover was wearing an advanced suit fighting in the moon... maybe kuro didn't completely abandoned the Idea.

Aalto directly says that Rover was with Black Shores the last time they appeared, though whether they're the founder is a separate possibility. Aalto says he's only a consultant, so he might not know that kind of detail either way. One thing that I find interesting is that the actual Threnodian appears as a giant purple eyeball with the star shape for a pupil. And the thing behind the hologram lady also has the same kind of "pupil." So if anything, I wonder if that's the far future evolved form of the Threnodian or if she like... merged with it and became a "good" Threnodian but too late to save the world... In any case, Rover being a timetraveler trying to change or preserve the past really lines up with all the past/present themes in practically every storyline, so I can see that being the case. There are just so many cases of people who want to change the past in some way that it would really make sense.

So i kinda made this video before 1.1 came out, but in 1.1 it confirmed the rover was in the past and not their origins if im not mistaken (i kinda sped through it). The thing that bothers me is that the researcher mentioend about the future being. Plus in 1.1 Jue mentions that everything they know comes from the rover which means they must have access to some advanced knowledge. What I suggested in the video is that the rover is from the future but got sent back to set things up. This might explain how the rover knows so many things and might even be the one to create the sentinels and establish the black shores. But again this is just a random theory and i didnt expect it to be super accurate its just something I thought of after playing 1.0 😂

well, from 1.1 main quest it is now confirmed that rover is from the past, they used to be the master of the sentient, who knows maybe the master of all the sentinels. Which begs the question, how extremely powerful the rover was and who are they with such incredible power?

It confirms they were in the past but not their origins, what i suggested in the video was that they were originally from the future but sent to the past to set up all these things like the sentinels, the court and maybe even the black shores. It might explain why Jue claims the rover were their master (perhaps the rover created them) and that everything it knew came from the rover which hints at them knowing pretty advanced knowledge

I think this idea (or something adjacent to it) is probably correct. Time travel accounts for a lot of what you mentioned about Rover, and I think it could even possibly explain their amnesia. What if the opening cutscene takes place outside of time as we know it and is the Rover's point of "origin", and each time they enter the time stream it's functionally the first time they have entered Solaris 3? The retroact rain seems to relate to memory as much as it does time, which suggests to me that memory (at least in the context of WuWa) may be more situational than we typically think of it. Rover only starts to remember things when they are in the context of when they would be relevant. This allows for Rover to have done this many times before and yet not have knowledge that would give them undue advantage. As an aside, I suspect that the events of the past are actually late/end game content. This would account for how Rover is renowned as a world-shaking badass in the past but is at a "starter character" power level at the start of the game. Flashes of memory from the past would then be from prior attempts to make things right.

Not really a "starter character" power level, ignoring the game mechanics as far as narrative is concerned Rover is consistently shown to be an immensely capable fighter andto have a sharp mind (on the account of the puzzles, stalkers and combat planning) Looking how the “cannon" timeline goes: from Rovers awakening to the showdown with Scar 3-4 in game days have passed, after that we have a gap of 1-2 days before the showdown with Dreamless and then we have like 3 week time skip to the start of 1.1

@@thelostone2694 Rover isn't a starter character in the sense of "Level 1 Noob", but they have room for growth. They are strong and capable, but they aren't at the peak of their abilities (which translates in gameplay terms as needing to be leveled up).

Thats one possibility, another that I mentioned is that they were from the future, got sent back and has just lived through the past all the way to the present. In 1.1 we know that the rover isnt affected by time, they were Jue's master and everything Jue knows came from the rover meaning they had to have access to some pretty advanced knowledge. Of course it could be possible that the rover was just super smart and even in the past knew all these things already. Plus im curious about what the researcher mentions about a future being living in the past. If rover was just from the past why mention future being and talk about the gates. In any case most of my theories are pretty out there and why I often have disclaimers at the start 😂

To me that Rover seems to be possibly from the world of PGR. And the person that PGR players refer to as Commandant or Commander. Because the goddess who sends Rover to SOL 3 is the embodiment of a character by the name is Lucia.
