Fond memories of this show back in the 90s. Used to watch it with my mum and dad. My dad watched the first one and said “it’s just people watching television” After the first episode he was hooked. Times were much simpler back then and we had fun and heartwarming programmes. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of that about now. My dad died a few years later of cancer. I miss those days and I miss my dad.

Yes mate I did the same with my pal but we were happier back then, weren’t we? We all grew up broke as kids but we had our family, our community and our pals. Look how things are today

Not just a really original comedy sitcom but also a great observation of working class life. Caroline Ahearne is sadly missed, her contribution was so important.
