I bought an Arc A750 LE for $210 a month-ish ago, not for gaming but for general use and streaming to use the AV1 hardware encoding/decoding eventually. I give Intel credit where due, for a first _real_ attempt at a discrete GPU the hardware is pretty good, especially in RT. And the drivers have definitely improved. Having 3 contenders in this category is fantastic, we need more of it.

Thank you for putting the older 20 series on the graphs. Considering a lot of people have 20 or older series cards it really does show how much performance you gain with an upgrade. Also selling ones older card really needs to be put into perspective for some people, though im not sure how you could show that as a tuber. I sold my 2070 to buy a 4070 and that combined with the performance gain really did make the price worth spending. I do love seeing the intel cards work their way back onto everyone's charts.

I went from Vega 64-> 6900xt this holiday season cause the value ~$600 seemed good for me over 6950xt or 7xxx cards. Thing is, 1080p isn't some static res, 20 years ago 800x600 was the norm, for many years it became 1024x768... Resolutions increase over time as panels improve. 1080p was the norm for much of the 2010s, I'd argue 1440p will become the standard for the mid/late 2020s, GPU manufacturers need to switch from 1080p (mid) vs 1440p (upper) to 1440p (mid) vs 4k (upper). The failure to recognise this by making the 60 series 12gb VRAM as standard is a woeful design misstep. For the sake of £20 of additional VRAM, they've destroyed a product line IMO.

Thanks for the content as always Jay. I've just upgraded from a 1060 6GB to a 6950XT, and built a new PC after waiting ages for prices to come down. Generational changes aside, the xx60 class of card really isn't what it used to be in my opinion. A 128-bit bus says it all and it's such a shame as for a long time I was intending to upgrade to a newer xx60 GPU.

Re: The option of reordering the cards or keep them in their positions, I imagine it would be handy to either keep them fixed or settle on an easy way to highlight the card we should be focusing on. Resorting to transitional animations would also help with either case, so as to keep our attention where it belongs. Seeing the performance go up and down while the card stays put is one way. Or, flip to the new graphic, have everything sorted hierarchically, but have the subject card conspicuously slide up or down the stack to it's ranking for that particular benchmark.

Honestly, I'm still sitting on my 2080 ti that I got at the beginning of the pandemic right before the GPU Market went to shit in 2019. Back then, Jay, you told me that I shouldn't replace my 2080 ti for a 3070 and you were absolutely right about it. Honestly, this card still holds up just fine for all my 1440p gaming needs. I honestly have to thank Nvidia because I have zero incentive to switch cards and this is the perfect card for my needs right now. I would have liked to buy a 3080 or a 3080 ti but they were unavailable. I would have liked to buy a 4080 or a 4090 if the pricing made sense but it doesn't. So thank you Nvidia for giving me a reason to not buy any of your graphics cards because the ones that you sold four years ago are more valuable than the ones you are selling now. I'll update my rig to a 50 or 60 series when the pricing makes sense and when I get actual value from the product that I'm getting. Meanwhile, Nvidia, I also have to thank you for giving AMD time to catch up and improve their cards' Ray tracing performance. Because once their ray-tracing performance improves on AMD cards, I have no reason to buy another Nvidia card again and I'll be jumping ship.

So, I bought a 1050 ti at launch (I was building my PC at the time, so it came out at the right time). It did me perfectly fine since I owned it. Ran anything I threw at it and could usually hold 60 fps. However, I ran into really bad frame drops while playing Sonic Frontiers, and it hit me that I would also get really low framerates in FF16 when that comes out. So, I felt now was the time to upgrade. It was a tough pick, as the 4060, 3060 12 GB, and the 6700 XT are all roughly the same price. I ended up going with a 6750 XT, since after the rebate it'd cost me the same amount as the 3060, or even some 6700 XTs. I'm glad GPU Prices have dropped since 2020. It really doesn't seem like there's a better price-per-performance than the 6750 XT for the mid-range right now. Sure it's a last-gen card, but I don't think the current-gen performance uplift is worth the price. I'll just need to upgrade my 6700k at some point, as that's gonna be a bottleneck now.

If you have an 1080ti card don't bother buying another. Unless it's starting to die/outdated drivers/crashing. The xx80 ti series until the xx90 series came out were the strongest cards you could buy and won't flop out regardless of upscaling/cache/ shenanigans simply because they have a lot of hardware to do about any task you ask them to do. Which is why even though it is almost a 7 year old card by now, it still stays at the top 50 fastest cards in the world. xx80 ti performance stays the same in 90% of cases, which is what gamers really care about anyways. No one cares about ray tracing, Ngreedia. If you were to buy previous gen 80ti, aka the 3080ti, it's going to cost you 1250$, which I wouldn't ever recommend even if Ngreedia was pointing a gun at my head. 4080ti isn't even available yet, but I don't expect it's price any lower than 1500$ (and that's being optimist), which is fun because you might as well buy the 4090 for 1600$ at that point. Buy the 4060 Ti at 400$. You are definitely getting a faster card than the 1080ti, but then we would be ignoring this video's advice for price/performance. TL;DR Price/performance wise, 6700XT at 320$ or the 6750XT at 360$ is the way to go. Cheaper, more vram, performance stays consistent. But Intel's A750 at 240$ or A770 at 380$ should be considered too.

Maintaining the position of each card is definitely easier to reference and absorb than their standings in each category. A secondary criteria for the initial sort in each video could be implemented and caviated at the beginning to the video or marked at the top of the chart. Chasing a particular card up and down the charts wastes focus as well.

I think it makes sense to order them by generation / by name / release date, possibly add their *at time of recording* cost as small print under the name. That way you have the relevant information, the order won't change between stats/tests and can help eliminate any pausing on our side - the viewers side. Not sure if pauses affect the algorithm or not.
