I know you said you needed the extra room but that trailer really looks like a pain. I would prefer a roof rack for all that extra gear in a place like that.

This video really did give me a great sense of what the rubicon trail is. I definitely dont think ill be heading out there with my stock jku anytime soon.

I did the Dusy-Ershim, in 2013....with a 2 1/2" lift...and Bull Bars only...doing the Rubicon in 2014...gotta clear my Bucket List..

i spend 90 % of every summer here at my cabin that is about 30 minutes from the trailhead.

i think they were using the trailer instead as a way to reduce risk of a rollover. Roof baskets really affect how much camber you can control

Nice trip report. Don't see the need to hammer on environmentalists, though. We can work together to keep trails open, maintained and used responsibly. Happy wheeling.

Are any of the campsites on the trail accessible by a lesser-built 4x4? Something in stock form? What about an AWD vehicle? Are backpackers allowed?

Is there more than one trail? I am about to buy a jeep that is trail rated, but I know damn well that cherokee trail how with one inch lift cant go here? so what is meant by trail rated?
