With the focus on ed leaving at the end, all the weird and hateful voices in the background and the last scene where ed is crying looking at the place where his stairs used to be makes me feel its alluding to a heavier case of neglect or abuse than we saw in the show. That is pretty sad considering the way we already see ed's family treat him, namely like he is unwanted or like a burden. Poor guy.

Man that ending....was trippy....and yet liked they used the ed edd and eddy style of animation look for it. The Kankers were my fav characters and glad they got thier own minisode....i hope they return in ep 2

I think that Edd was abused by his parents as his stairs was removed and that Sarah did bully her brother for years....and he just couldnt take it anymore so hes packing....and May bein in love with Ed is getting a cosmic dream ala twin peaks about Ed and also the darkness that Eddys Brother still had on them! Thats my take

Glad I'm not the only one who saw that, they literally took the stairs out of his room. His parents never wanted him, and Sarah bullied him, so I agree, maybe he's finally realizing that maybe I shouldn't be around. He did want to hang out with the guys because they would try to stop him

You don't do what we want, then you're nothing to our family, I know others too but she's just the first one that comes to mind. I'm not much further off as my family, seeing as I'm the middle child, was bullied by both siblings, 5 years through school by literally everyone. Struggled every day and I still am, and when I was trying to be happy with someone, I was told I needed to wake up and realize she wasn't truthful which turned out to be a lie. And when I started getting my life together I was told I needed to take a chill pill, and even now get told I need medication. Wtf is with parents these days

It's such an interesting concept for a sequel to a childhood show. The original perfectly captured the energy and hectic-ness, the adventure of childhood especially during summer when school was out. It always felt like it was never going to end. This sequel is different. It's doing a great job of capturing that progression into young adulthood, with the realities of life after growing up coming closer and closer. It's much more chill and mellowed out, even in the music choice and pacing, as well as the themes. Even the new art style mimics this by keeping the character outlines more still and consistent, where the orignal gave off that feeling of always being in moton. This show is exploring the idea of what it's like to leave the chaos of childhood behind as we grow up, but retains and matures the personalities of the characters, as well as their occaisional meta humor. I'm really interested to see where this series goes.

I can't believe you guys watched Ed, Edd n Eddy! I love that show! I loved it as a kid, it was hilarious and the art style was so cool! Oh my God, even thinking about it now makes me want to go back to those summer days, even at age 7, when I watched back-to-back episodes of this show!

Well I have a theory on Eddy's Brothers appearance, we all know that at the end of big picture show the kankers drag him inside his trailer which naturally leads us to assume they do something that rhymes with grape. However I have another far darker theory. We all know how absolutely morally bankrupt 2 of the 3 kankers are, Lee and Marie. And seeing how upset Lee got when she watched Eddy's brother torment him, I believe May witnessed Lee and/or Marie beat Eddy's brother to a pulp, and unintentionally killed him, with a body of water nearby, it would be easy for them to get rid of the body, and Lee threatened to kill May if she ever told anyone of this as you can hear one of the echoes in her dream say "I'll kill you if you tell anyone about this!" or something along those lines. This leads me to believe May is haunted by that event, both literally and metaphorically.

the ending reminded me of the other sequel series of Ed, Edd, and Eddy i saw on youtube a few years ago that was kinda a supernatural like, i think it was called night of the were-ed 1-3, that were pretty good

I am surprised no one noticed with Double d home very dark for the mornings and that One of the stickynotes says that Is double d's parents will be back September 1st but it's almost the end of October. There's either 2 scenarios 1 the parents Died or 2 the parents decided to leave Permanently.

I agree with Nick about the music being too loud while Rolf was talking to Kevin, that's pretty much the only negative thing I can say about this episode. Hopefully they'll do that a little better for episode 2.

Like literally I don’t know why whoever created this whatever go as far to make Ed somebody to count on for homework, but it is a fan made version of a sequel so it’s not real. Because it's a lie, Ed wasn't going to help his sister with homework, he was going to pack up his shit and leave, he just didn't want his friends to try and talk him out of it.

it is HEAVILY implied ed was abused by his family [and possibly his sister] and is running away to eddy's older brothers place, but as we learned from the big picture show this is a incredibly dumb idea, like one of the worst things you could do. and something only ed would do if he was truly desperate to get away from his toxic parents and abusive sister in his mind its probably like "trading 3 toxic people for 1".

and it's possible she's lucid dreaming with a old imaginary friend telling her about what's happening with ed through a "prophetic dream".

because in that dream we see the: "water fall the boys fell down, a duck floating down a river, eddy's brother smiling maliciously, ed tied upside down to a tree, eddy's brother saying something about the prophecy, a tv with the fish the same ones as in her mind, and the big reveal of ed's parents abuse by removing the stairs so ed can't leave the basement"

XD the music was supposed be louder than the characters discussions, it's an introduction style for implieing they exist in the show without giving them a spotlight. It's a great way to reintroduce returning shows characters.
