Havent you heard? springbok selectors are forced to select a quota of white and non-white players(min of 7 non whites in the match day 23), doing so doesnt allow players to be picked on merit and has really hurt the springboks( the whole quota thing is so politically charged, they want a have 50% non white starting players across all sports) Rugby while immensely popular in South Africa is mostly player by white kids and football being the most popular sport, this political decision is just unbelievable. What Mandela fought so hard to achieve in 95` just flushed down the drain, note that this quota policy only happened after his death. (This is what I understand from this, any South Africans please confirm my facts you are welcome to correct me and add further input, thank you) (Im more of a NZ Aus fan though, just want to see good rugby)
