This is the gun that goes everywhere with me. Outside, on the couch, in the bathroom, everywhere. For me it’s the perfect EDC

I bought one of these in 2019 and I don’t think it’s left my side since. This gun goes to the bathroom, the mailbox EVERYWHERE with me I can’t even blink without it lol

I have had my LCP for about 10 years. The only thing I have done was replaced the take down pin with an aluminum pin and Ruger has a 7+1 clip. It has been my ccw for a long time.

I have the lcp Max. 10+1 some Underwood ammo 95gr. 255ft lbs. Good shot placement and you're done.those who underestimate the 380acp are in for a surprise should they be on the receiving end. By the way. I CCW a Glock 29 10mm. The lcp is my shorts- sweat pants gun.

Have had mine daily in a pocket holster since 2010, slide is rusted from sweating in the summer. Runs like a top, never fails

Read on another page that ruger sends free replacements for the slide if rusted I’m not sure tho give it a shot

I've owned a Kel Tek P3AT for the last 20 years. Has been in my pocket everywhere I have been. Great gun and reliable. The take down pin was getting loose and had a couple of jams last time I shot it. It was getting a little rusty and worn from being in my pocket 24/7. Since they don't make them anymore I decided on the LCP. Academy Sports has them for $199 right now. Just bought one and it is easier to rack and the trigger pull is better than the Kel Tek. Accuracy isn't the best with these guns but anything up to about 25 or 30 ft isn't a problem at all. I won't be shooting anything any farther than that anyway. The .380 is fine for personal defense in my opinion. Most people who just got shot with that round isn't going to give you any more trouble for a while. I love my Kimber .45 but it's way to big for everyday carry. I have a Springfield Sub Compact and it's a little too big to be comfortable carrying everywhere. The LCP is perfect for this application. Easy to rack. The longer trigger pull doesn't bother me either. Nice video! Thanks!

When I carry my LCP it’s with a Hogue rubber grip sleeve & the seven round Ruger mag to help w/my XLG hands. The trigger guard always pinches my finger but doubt I’d notice in the midst of a deadly confrontation. I’ve owned this gun over 10 years, hundreds of rounds of FMJ & HP (masking tape on my trigger finger @ the range) & never a malfunction of any kind. Finally, NEVER leave a handgun unattended in your vehicle (truck gun?).

Got mine 2 months ago. Polished the feed ramp and put about 200 rounds of sailor and bellot through it. No jams. Works perfect.

I was going to ask about the racking but you said it was easy. My wife has very weak arthritic hands. Do you think we should try this one?

Absolutely

I get occasional gout in my wrists and find this gun NOT easy to rack whatsoever (I own the first LCP, wife own the LCP II in 380)... also it lacks a way to use the sights as something you can push against (like the side of a table) to help you rack it. Love my little mouse LCP, but no, it is not easy to rack IMHO. I can use some other sights as a way to rack one handed with other guns, but the little LCP is smoothed and slick (thus it is nice to pocket carry without grabbing in garments)... The takeaway is if feeling good, I can rack this ok, but it is not super easy, and enjoy carrying it.... I keep another few guns in case I am gouty or carpal tunnel is kicking in that week.... A good ole revolver may be another option.... or find another mouse gun with more pronounced sights that let you use some assistance when needed to help rack. Also not the easiest to take down unlike what this video says, it ain't the hardest by far, but that pin is not what I call easy to take out that allows disassembly. Gun has fired every time I have pulled the trigger with a bullet in charge, but I have had a few miss feeds during gout sessions due to not being able to cleanly pull the rack back (my fault only). It needs a good clean pull to put a bullet in chamber cleanly. I don't carry w/ one in the chamber. Well usually I don't, if going in perceived rough area, I will put one in chamber, but for most times it is not. So the rack issue is high priority for me. I like it does not have a safety, never cared for that, some do, but since I don't carry chambered it is not a real issue for me. I noticed the new LCP MAX seems to have changed the style of the sights, and might be enough to rack with help of a table/prop. Wife didn't like the grip so I bought a bigger grip and longer mag gives more purchase to grab, she still is not thrilled with the smallish grip vs a full size gun (Tauras TX 22 which a too large to conceal). Have Mrs Ray try the racking at the gun store... it is free to try to rack (if not, find a new gun store).

Darn tootin it’s powerful for that tiny little thing!
@davidmarks54009 ай бұрын
I've heard complaints about the .380 not being powerful enough. I shot a 2 by 12 board at about 20ft. fmj,with my trusty LCP. It went completely through with a perfect hole on the backside with no splinters. Yeah I know it's light in weight but, when you fire it,it's a little beast.

Not a good choice for a inexperienced shooter… heavy trigger and recoil .. To me … I lean toward FNFMJ Accuracy, penetration..expansion is gravy

True. Although heavy trigger is an additional safety against a target style hair trigger. Training Training Training.

Snappy is right, anyone interested in this firearm needs to train with it, getting shots in target even in short distance is a challenge, I love and hate this gun, easy to carry but not fun to shoot
