Somebody told me about the thumbs down instead of the middle finger a few years ago. My road rage and needing to get to places NOW is super intense, and multiple people have told me the exact same thing - “you’re gonna get shot one day”, and I used to fully celebrate the middle finger, but the thumbs down is so much better! If I give some idiot the bird, I’m the asshole nutjob. But the thumbs down is the equivalent to the southern phrase “bless your little heart”, and I still feel like there was some justice.

I’ve got a great solution for the lights. I or another electrician can install smart dimmers for you two, with a keypad in the bedroom and at the door you leave everyday. You can press one button on the keypad to turn them all off as you leave.
