That awkward moment when you actually like St. Anger. I like they went back to thrash roots. Some may argue it's not a thrash album (no guitar solos also in this list), but after having having to suffer the horror that is I Disappear from the MI soundtrack, I'm glad they got away from crap like that. I'll gladly listen to St. Anger over Load/Reload/Black album any day. But yeah I laughed as well. I understand the hate. It does sound like crap after all. But at least they got some speed back.

The Big Four of The British Invasion are The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Kinks. I'm a huge fan of the 60s music scene. The 60s changed a lot in music like the 80s did. The 70s and 90s were decent, but they're not as awesome as the 60s and 80s were. And The Kinks totally the Number 4 spot for British Invasion bands more than Anthrax being apart of the Big Four of Thrash. Sepultura is a part of my Big Four. I get that Metallica gets a lot of hate, but I don't really care. What makes they high on my list is Kill Em All and Ride the Lighting. Loves these albums to death that they're both in my top 10 for rock/metal albums of all time. Megadeth is really awesome too. Dave Mustaine is a guitar god. Their discography is more consistent than Slayer in my opinion, although Slayer is awesome too. Their 80s albums are really awesome. The 90s wasn't that kind to them, but Seasons in the Abyss is excellent. The rest is pretty solid. Sepultura is one of my other favorite metal bands too. My top 3 albums from them are Beneath the Remains, Arise, and Chaos AD. These 3 albums alone makes them an excellent band. They did struggle after Max left, but they did bounce back, and with their most recent album being so good, it looks like they're back in the game. Sepultura hasn't replaced Slayer because they're already in my Big Four. Slayer's replacement is Sodom.

Very true. And actually my top 3 punk bands that came from the 80s are Bad Religion, Descendents, and Misfits. Bad Religion have the most albums out of a lot of punk bands with 18 (counting the Christmas EP as an album). Descendents are also influential in the punk scene. Milo Goes to College is one of the best punk albums ever made. Everything Sucks and Cool to Be You are great comeback albums! Misfits are also an important punk band to love. Walk Among Us is also one of the best punk albums ever made. Static Age, which was supposed to be their debut album wasn't released until 1996. Still an excellent album! And I gotta love me some Danzig. My personally favorite punk band of all time is The Jam. I love them over all of the metal bands, with the exception of Iron Maiden. They rule and without them, we wouldn't have thrash metals or any other metal bands today. Or metal might be very different.

IMO I don’t think it mattered what sub genre you put in front of metal be it thrash glam etc grunge killed it or put it in a coma for a while and Metallica well I stopped listening to them when the black album came out to me everything after and justice for all is not Metallica, again it’s just my opinion

Cliff Burton! Yes! I will never forget Cliff playing Anesthesia Pulling teeth in front of us, 15th Jan 1985... after having waited 2+ hours in - 15C (yes... minus 15...) to get album signed and then another 2 hours in line to be able to get front row center for the venue... Priceless. And yeah, totally respect tape trading!
