Don't mind the picture and videos associated with my KZbin account, it's primarily my 10yr old sons. Anyway, I've just recently begun my journey with runes, have just started researching their meanings and varied interpretations. Waiting on some recommended literature to arrive in the mail so I can sit down and kind of dig in and start meditating on one rune a day. Let the energy of each sink in, in whatever way they're meant to sink in for me personally. But, in the meantime I've been poking around KZbin and several websites dedicated to rune practice and readings and I must say, there is something about your vibes, man. I really enjoy your interpretations and just the general way you go about detailing them. Your energy resonates really well with me and you've quickly become my go to when I need a quick reminder of a specific runes meaning. Just thought I'd let you know =)

That's very interesting tho. I'm from Brazil, and here there's two very popular Afro-spiritual traditions named Umbanda and Candomblé. Both are centered on cult of the africam deities The Orixás. And there's these female Orixá called Iansã or Oya, who's portraite as a warrior maiden, goddess of the thunder and storms, courage, streght and challeges that bring changes. The stories tell us that she was able to turn into a wild bull.

Hi Arith.✋🏼I made a "Uruz" rune Pendant. I painted the Uruz rune on a small wooden disk with reddish brown paint. (The color of dried blood, I didn't use my blood.) I'm wearing it because I've had severe Rheumatoid Arthritis for 8 yrs. It's very painful and debilitating. It's my hope that it's energy will help me get stronger. I know runes work because I've drawn them on all kinds of stuff to achieve a purpose and they are powerful symbols and really work for me. If there is another rune I should use for this too, please let me know. Also, I couldn't find a video (of yours) on "Ingwaz", I'd like to hear your thoughts on its energy and usage as well....Thank you.

Hello there! Well, since you have Arthritis, I would honestly recommend you to use Isa as well, in healing terms, or at least those who use the runes for healing purposes, Isa is used for all sorts of problems concerning joints. Lately I've been advising people on that field, on healing with runes, and the results have been quite positive. Of course I'm not that much inclined to healing with the runes, my "thing" is more turned to divination, but I do know a couple of things concerning healing with runes, but I susggest you get more information on an actual source for using the runes for healing purposes. But even so I still recommend Isa for Arthritis and of course you can still use Uruz. Both Uruz and Isa I think it's a good choice, make a bindrune out of them. I haven't done Ingwaz btw, not yet. I'm on Jera and the next rune comes next year.

Arith Härger Yes, I was just thinking..🤔 R.A. Is caused by an overactive Immune system. The result is "too much" heat and "inflammation" in the body. I should find the most cooling and soothing energy possible, that would be the goal. I made an "Isa" Pendant too. I will change over and wear that for awhile and see how it goes. If you know of any other runes that have a soothing, calming flow of energy about them I would welcome any thoughts you could come up with. I thought about "Laguz" but I think that's mostly about the psyche from my understanding...Thank you for all your help. ☺️

Hello Arith.I have just found your channel,and its great.I am posting this as a question more than anything.I have always thought that as well as being the written down representations of "sounds" the runes,in the beginning were there to represent specific gods and goddesses.,and the meanings were what the god or goddess were associated with,fertility,war wealth,sailing,etc.I have been drawn to the "Uruz" rune because I was born on 21st, the longest day in June and this sign is associated with the sign of Cancer.I am also on the "cusp" of Cancer,caused by the Christian church "sucking up" to Constantine and Rome and replacing the 13 month lunar calender with the solar god's 12 month calender,but I refuse to move to Gemini. Also if they claim the astrological signs were based on Akkadian and Sumerian "sign" then what was the 13th sign?iAnyway back to "Uruz" I have linked it to the god Ullr,the son of Sif,the corn goddess,and stepson to Thor.He was a great archer,hunter,skater and skier.I have found him linked to the Sami in Elder times,who were regarded and feared as great shaman.Also warriors in single combat, as when a shield square was formed, would mark the rune on their forehead in blood to attract his strength and skill.I think he is a powerful god that has been forgotten.In the Grimnismal Saga when Odin is trapped between two fires,he promises the blessings of"Ullr and all the gods" on whomever rescues him.Also oaths were sworn on the "ring of Ullr".I don't know if you will see this at it is an old video but I would like your opinion on my opinion. Thanks and regards.Roy.

URUZ a water rune generates power when placed on ground facing north at the apex in the form of channels on a plain where sloping into another natural occurring stream or river this generates force power which can be channeled into masculine energy. it has to do with the cleansing of moving water and the force this generates can be quite savage on rainy day but this can be channeled in to healing when paired with calming tones.

Hi, I am learning a lot with your explanations, but I read about uruz and i have doubts about positions for up our down, some people say use up, some people say down, please could you confirm for me what is correct?
@ArithHärger7 жыл бұрын
Hello there ^^ if you use it in a rune reading, you just use it the way you take out of your bag or usually put all the runes facing down so you don't know which one is there, hiding the rune, and when it comes to read them, face them up and you will see if the symbol is in its upright position or not. When I finish doing videos about each rune, I will show rune reading methods. But maybe you want to use the rune in a different way? The upright position is always the one with the "positives" aspects of the rune, and it really depends in what you want to use the rune for. Either way, the rune has its uses and according to their powers, you have to decide what powers you want to draw to yourself.

Thank you for the timeliness. Currently going through having gotten off of Effexor and it's like all the Gods decided they hate you, twice. So I know to just ride it out and the videos a nice touchstone and during the adjustment you are left more or less bonkers and with anger management issues, lol! But you said Thor is the sworn enemy to chaos, so, sworn enemy to Loki then? Sorry, I'm literally sleeping four hours or less lately.
@ArithHärger7 жыл бұрын
I don't think Thor is a sworn enemy to Loki. Probably is to Fenrir but Loki is much more complex. So complex that the gods themselves don't know how to propertly deal with him and I think what Odin did to him was the best he could come up with. Between Odin and Loki there was a bargain and Loki sacrificed himself in order to save Baldr (I do believe). What had Loki to gain with this? Have no idea, but the world itself had a lot to gain with the death of Baldr when Ragnarörk comes.
@WhySoSiriusALokeanChannel7 жыл бұрын
I don't think so either, but Thor is a hurt puppy if I ask sleepy questions on four hours sleep. I forgot He's mostly the Golden Retriever of the pantheon unless you really tick Him off. Which is why the rune was interesting I know He has it in Him, but He's mostly mellow around here.

Arith: Where can I read more about this bargain between Odin and Loki, and specifically Loki's sacrifice? Thanks :) . PS> . Great video again! Looking forward to more
@ArithHärger7 жыл бұрын
Hello there and thank you! Well, in he lore there is no mention of anything about a bargain betweeen the two deities. but as you read the lore you begin to understand that the going of Baldr to Helheim/Hel is the key bring back life and a new world after Ragnarök. This bargain is an idea I have based to the lore; a possible explanation for the death of Baldr and the Sacrifice of Loki - a plan made by Odin. Maybe one of these days I make a video about it trying to explain my point of view.
@ainevethe61037 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you! I would enjoy that video, personally. The reason it tweaked my interest is mainly because the view of Odin I have myself, as I have come to "understand" him (as much as you can, I suppose) and it certainly fits with my views of the Odin/Loki dynamic in general, so it would wonderful to hear your take on it.

I have heard that the tradition of hanging a shield over the hearth comes from the mother's shield being kept over the hearth, close at hand, so she could defend her home and children when she needed too. I think people would have an easier time understanding ancient gender rolls if they knew this. The mans role as warrior doesn't mean only he can fight, it means society tends to agree children need their mothers more, so if someone must fight to the death and must not retreat its going to be the father... When nature allowed you to choose
@mileswilliams97376 жыл бұрын
Have others heard of this 'hearth defender' tradition in the north? Or am I misinformed?
@FuneralBitch6 жыл бұрын
That is not true. Children greatly need both parents. Men have larger bodies capable of carrying heavier weight and withstanding more than the female body can - generally speaking (obviously there are always exceptions). That is why men were the fighters. Not because men's lives were worth less and thus if someone should die, it should be the man. That's absurd. Male bodies are simply built better for more physical, strenuous tasks.

Loving the videos. I am wondering if in an inversion of Uruz in a reading could also be an indication of personal power being used in a negative way? Such as physical or emotional violence? Also a loss of courage, vitality and or mental/physical weakness?
