Best part of RS for myself, it kept me involved in the game much longer than any in game feature. Clanning was amazing- started in DDB, 'THE' futures, 'The', VR, Then damage inc. Great memories

I remember, 15+ years ago, seeing videos of wars like those and thinking it was the most epic thing possible. The energy of those wars was inspirational. I never got into pking myself, but I figured that there was what it was all about. That was the goal, the feeling to chase. Im happy to see that wars of that magnitude are still happening. It feels like that is using the wilderness as intended. A bunch of people fighting for glory or even for "fun" if you will. the shot calling is awful and amazing at the same time. Thank you for sharing this.

People that never tried it never really knew the thrill of the clanning scene back in the day. It was seriously competitive, organization and good leadership were the keys to success. Of the few clans I was in over the years, I must've done the "die -> bank -> teleport back up" thing at least 10,000 times. I think the longest war I attended lasted ~11 hours all through the night. The feeling of victory on something like that is honestly better than any drop at a raid/boss.

Exactly, I have been playing for years without clanning then I joined a clan and we had a 50v50 war the next week. The pre-fight speech from our leader and co-leaders made me feel like I was a real life spartan and I was really engaged for us to win. Died like 20 times but returned and the feeling of victory is better than any pvm drop

Just last year when swab went from roars to runewild for about half a year we had 250v250 wars for a couple of months. Swab eveuntually took over the clan that had ran runewild for over two years. Real rs clans where even payed to Join and the biggest war was around 350v300. Those where the biggest longest wars I’ve seen. During victory a general got mace smiled for an ely when celebrating😂

I remeber those old days - spamming @@@ signs with the effects like wave2 or glow ect. Or colours . Don’t even know if they work still in game also some of my fond memory’s are being friends with Zezima for a while as we met at like level 11 at the cows in Lummy and the last time we met was when we where both at like mid level 90s also the fun time killing randoms at fally massacre. Thinking back even doing bunny/imp trains at castle wars round the rocks in the waiting areas or doing the barricade block and rock fall on people, Just simple things like that made the game fun and enjoying. Shame I quite a long time ago but am Glad that the game is going strong still and people still enjoy it.

the forums used to be called the Runescape Battle Ladder! it was divided into two sections upper and lower and diferent divisions usually a 10v10 or clan vs clan. this was pre EOC. i used help lead the number 1 clan for years! #FUSION
