Great video! I have one nitpicky correction to make though. Christiane F. isn't the name of the movie. The movie is called "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" translating to "We kids from station Zoo". It refers to a specific train station in Berlin, wich was infamous for it's many junkies, prostitutes and homeless. All through the 70s and 80s the station was at it's worst. This continues to today though, where it's still a place of crime and violence. Christiane Felscherinow (*1962) is the name of a girl who slipped into heroin and prostitution at about 12 year old. When she was 16 she was a witness in a trial, where some reporters heard her story and wanted to record it. She agreed, and in 1978 the book "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" was released. It became an instant hit, so they decided to make the movie, wich was then released in 1981. It's really an insane story to read about, so I thought it's worth sharing. Btw, I'm swiss. So if you ever need help finding or understanding something german, I'll be happy to help you out :) Thank you for the video😊

I live in Austria and „Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo“ is still show in schools. I was 13 when my school first showed the movie in class. There are some immensely sensitive scenes that make you question if you would rather suffer through addiction or suffer the pain of withdrawal. The movie has some amazingly deep annotations and was what originally turned me towards Raf simmons‘ work

Great video! "Riot! Riot! Riot" brings to mind 80s industrial band Cabaret Voltaire's noisy track "Nag, Nag, Nag!" Take a look at their Neville Brody-designed album cover for "Micro-Phonies," which features a portrait of an ominous, hooded man. Cabaret Voltaire's classic, industrial/electrofunk "Sensoria" is on "Micro-Phonies"-it's an early standout in the genre with an influential music video.

Not that sexuality is a big factor in his design, but he’s one of the very few heterosexual fashion designers that makes such a huge impact in fashion. Especially in high end streetwear. I’m no homophobe at all (I promise!), but as a straight guy streetwear inspired fashionista, Raf, along with Yohji Yamamoto, Rick Owens, and early on with Polo, Ralph Lauren, these are the guys that break the barriers of masculinity in the fashion industry.

Incredible video in every sens, keep it up. On your theory regarding the keys, I believe they could also be in reference to the Palestinian liberation movement. Keys have become a symbol for Palestinians seeking the right to return to their homes. This stems from the nakba, where tens of thousands were forcefully displaced from their towns and villages, although at the time many believed this displacement was only temporary and they would be able to return shortly once the violence calmed down, so they brought they locked their homes and brought their keys with them, thus keys becoming a symbol of their desire to return. And as you pointed out Raf refrences Palestinian culture through keffiyehs(which has also become a symbol of resistance to the occupation). Hope I said that right.

mission of burma is a boston punk group- really post punk that really invented that indie rock sound - i think i learned that they are really expiremental from some old fantano video but yeah hella underated check them out esp thats when I reach for my revolver the man who fell from earth is used as the cover for station to station suicide was an expiremental synth punk/ no wave group that practically made the no wave scene in new york - micheal gira of swans moved to new york specifically because of that album
