The Rycote InVision USM Universal Studio Mount Product

In this video we open up and review the Rycote InVision USM. I choose to go with the Rycote InVision Universal Studio Mount because it is pretty much the most superior shock mount for large diaphragm condenser microphones in the marketplace. I did a lot of research trying to find the right one and it was a hard thing to do with all the varieties of brands. I have a very heavy Aston Spirit Microphone and I was going to buy the Aston Swift Shock Mount because I though it made sense to do when I already have the Aston Spirit until I did my research and found out that it wasn't the greatest option for my very heavy Aston Spirit which is pretty sad knowing Aston failed to properly support their own Mics with a high quality USM. All I know is that this Rycote USM is a beast for sure and is worth the price tag in my personal opinion. Like the OG's said when I was a kid, "You Got To Pay The Cost To Be The Boss"...

Hello, is this shock mount made of metal or plastic? It is a Rycote patented material, but is it plastic or metal?

Yes it is a special extremely premium quality elastic plastic that has been patented. Very light weight as well meaning less hangover weight in my boom arm. I will choose this over metal any day because metal bends when dropped I've dropped this shock mount on purpose multiple times from 5 feet up on carpeted floor and no damages or bends or dents like metal what so ever for me. But yes it is a high grade premium elastic plastic material.
