I think it’s so funny. Ownership sucks. The front office hires have been solid. Mike Maloan was and is the best hire as a head coach. Mike Brown was another solid hire. Frankly, If I am Vivek, I am telling Monte and Wes to hit the rebuild button. Complete firesale. Why? The picks. Especially the 2025 draft. If you can land 3-4 picks in the lottery, maybe one of them gets Cooper Flagg, I think they have to do it. This is a deep draft class. There is the potential to build something special on this draft. At least lay down the foundation for it. Right now, this roster is quicksand. That isn't Doug Christie's fault either. I think he should stay as head coach for the rest of this season and next season. Let's see what he can do to help build the next generation of Kings basketball. Monte and Wes I think are gone unless they land an absolute all-star level player in return. No Jimmy Butler. It would have to be like, in a trade with San Antonio... getting Charlotte involved to grab LaMelo Ball and letting them get the picks. I think that might be the only type of way to save their season and Monte and Wes to keep their jobs while moving Fox. I don't even know if that is possible. Granted, I didn't think Luka to the Lakers would be either. I am sure there is a way to make it happen. I just don't have the trade machine right now to test it. If Luka as a pipe dream trade can happen, then frankly... anyone can happen at this point.

I don't think the Kings really have time to complete a Fox deal prioritizing on picks and completing another trade using those picks unless they already have a deal basically agree on for the second deal already. What if that second deal falls out, like has happened so many times with this front office? I say tell San Antonio We want Castle, Sochan & Vassell and 2 First Round picks... Take it or leave it! If they leave it, Keep Fox until the summer and go after Jalen Green, Cam Whitmore and Jabari Smith and picks when Houston is ready to talk!

We know, DeMar DeRozan will want out if Fox goes. So might as well hit the rebuild right now. DeRozan to Toronto where he wants to retire a Raptor anyway. Fox obviously to San Antonio. Sabonis, I think makes sense for a trade with New Orleans. Monk and Huerter...Washington. Toronto, Washington and New Orleans...if we land 3 picks likely in the top 10, I think the Kings are in control of this year's pick or at least protected in the top 10....that could give the teàm a more likely chance to land Cooper Flagg, and 2-3 more of the top 10...you would think this team can reset and get better in a OKC kind of way. Who knows, maybe they fuck up that as well.

@toddpacker1015 Agreed. What I would like to see if there is a rebuild, is that they can get 2-3 more picks in the lottery, this year. I don't know if that is possible, but sending Fox to San Antonio, DeRozan to Toronto, Sabonis to Charlotte or Brooklyn, Monk and Huerter to D.C., Lyles, Len, McDermott used to match salaries. I don't care what would come back on players, it can be bad contracts...it is about the draft picks and hopefully 1 or 2 expiring contracts so there is 60-70 million in available money for free agents that can turn into 2-3 decently good players. No delusions of getting a superstar player, but 2-3 good veterans who can still play and help the team not suck to go with Murray, Carter and Ellis and possibly 4-5 total rookies added... sounds to me like a decent setup to rebuild with and stay at least reasonably competitive for the next few years while the core is developing. That is my thought. Or, if the Kings want to move Fox and try to still go for it maybe get the Hornets involved in the San Antonio trade and see if they can get LeMelo Ball. Changing the mix, might get the ship righted and keep everyone from wanting to jump ship.

Yeah, got some wing depth which was needed, but aside from this, very confusing trade. Especially since the Kings didn't get at least one more pick. Be it from Chicago or San Antonio. This trade deadline is shaping up to be really weird. All I do know, is that if the Kings intend to contend, whatever move they make next, had better be a damn good one.

Kings need to just trade fox for max future assets, trade derozen to wherever he wants, if golden state wants domas, get kuminga n all possible draft picks then fire the GMS n tank our way to keeping our first round picks, we have to finish bottom 12 to keep it I think. Competing for a play in spot should not be an option.
