It’s because all this team does is play 2-3 defense. That always leaves a player open at the three. 2-3 works when u have Keon and keegan in because they can get to the perimeter when they sag. Monk, Lavine, Demar.. should not be in 2-3

I don't think Lavine should start at least yet. The only argument I can make to get Monk off the bench is at times he seems to play out of control. He's spectacular and my favorite player but maybe we need Keon to start and run the offense in a more controlled manner.

Ellis to close out games when we need stops is a must. Should probably be in place of LaVine for now. Might be Derozan in the future just bc he slows the ball down so much and can’t guard the perimeter as athletically as LaVine

They will be fine, also I don't love the amount we play zone so often, especially 2-3 zone...that's asking for teams to shoot 3's. I also don't remember this team play so much zone till Luke became the defensive guy and we lost Jordi. The Zach thing isn't fair imo, he's getting his stamina back from being off for two weeks, just had to play a back to back and on a team he doesn't know and a team that runs far more than the East and the bulls. Allot of his shots were front rim that he missed.

Na, this off season the team needs to be blown up if possible for any kind of picks and younger players. Only keeping Keegan, Ellis, Carter, and maybe the new guy from the grizzlies if we can resign him

Like I said, teams will feast on the perimeter until Sacramento gets a RIM PROTECTOR. It's easier to play in-your-face defense if there is somebody in the paint who says I GOT YOUR BACK. With Sacramento, it's either wide-open threes or one-layup-and-dunk lines after another. Pick your poison.

The problem with Kings fans is that we take guys who are what they are and we get mad at them for not being "something else". A guy can be good at one thing, but we say "well they SHOULD be doing THIS". But that's not the player they are. We're constantly trying to fit square pegs into round holes and throwing emotional temper tantrums AT PLAYERS when what we THINK should happen doesn't happen. For instance, Fox was a scorer and fans got mad at him for not being a playmaker (he doesn't make other guys better). That's not who he is. He IS a scorer. Sabonis is the playmaker of this team. I have a feeling this fanbase is going to turn VERY QUICKLY on Lavine in the same way they turned on Fox. People don't seem to have the basketball IQ to understand ROLES. Everybody can't do the same thing, and SHOULDN'T be doing the same thing. A basketball team is a puzzle, and you need the right pieces to be successful. But they can't all be the SAME piece. Different guys SHOULD have different strengths that shore up other guys' weaknesses. That's how it works. If you don't HAVE the right pieces... Well, there's not much you can do, except get more pieces.
