Thanks for trying, but it’s clear you haven’t taken much time to really understand what the Kings are doing. The Kings have been improving drastically on defense. There is still work to be done but it’s not the issue many think. Since the all-star break they are around top 10 in defense. Recently, they’ve held the 76ers, Knicks, and Bucks under 100 points. They have a lot of good defensive players and with Ellis starting they are playing solid defense. Heurter was a terrible defender and everybody looked bad trying f to help him. But that’s not the case now. Since Ellis joined the starting lineup, the kings are second in defensive efficiency. The problem is how suddenly the Kings get in situations where they can’t make a basket. They have periods where they get really cold and often it is against bad teams. It’s like they can’t shoot if they’re too open. I can go on even further about the kings strengths but no one wants to read that much. All I know is they are a threat to make the finals in the west as long as they don’t play the Pelicans. The kings matchup poorly with New Orleans.

Now, Malik Monk is out 4-6 weeks with a sprained MCL in his knee. Tremendous loss. Kevin Huerter is out for the year after season-ending shoulder surgery. The Lakers and Warriors are breathing down their necks for the double chance in the play-in tournament as the seventh or eighth seed.

this month the Kings are 7th in Def. we do really well against the good teams but we struggle losing to some of the worst, like losses to detroit, washington, portland and hornets. if we would have won those games we would be 4th in West.......

Shows that you are not watching Kings all that closely. Their defence improved compared to last season and keeps getting better as Keon Ellis gets more playing time over Huerter. So defence argument doesnt really stand nearly as good as it did last season. Sure they still have problems covereing perimeter but it is slowly improving. Their main concern is their inconsitence from distance. They are among top 10 defences after all-star break. Defence isnt as big of concern of theirs now as it was in the past. Maybe, just maybe, you should, you know, watch a game or two befora making these claims?
