There's no problem with Itzy. Based on my observation, 1. Most fans nowadays are into visuals ( MV, style, fashion, make up etc..) 2. Midzys got brain-washed by the hate train. 3. JYPE lacks in promotion or bad at promoting Itzy 4. Their music is not bad as what some kpop fans are claiming..they just love to hate Itzy. 5. Fans always complain. Itzy is a group with a versatile concept but still focus on love yourself music. 6. Kpop fans mostly focus on Hybe groups 7. Fans easily got tired stanning a group. No evidence but i feel like Itzy and Aespa were the target of a demolition job last 2022. The difference between JYP and SM during that time, SM seize the opportunity to market Aespa but JYP didn't do anything.

Sorry but JYP definitely doesn’t lack in promoting Itzy. The only groups that probably get promoted Better is SKZ and twice which makes sense cuz they were in the industry longer. Nmixx can’t reach the amount of promotion Itzy gets. Perhaps it’s bad buts it’s still a promotion souruurrr…?

Leserrafim, Itzy, Gidle, BlackPink, Aespa, IVE all have extreme hate trains. It’s like there is 1/2 groups from each company that gets completely destroyed by netizens for little to no reason. And then the groups with actual problematic people in it have their actions excused as being “ignorant of the problem” or “too good of an idol to lose”

I don't believe Itzy is a sad case. Considering how much competition is out there with so many groups I think there are pretty successful. Itzy got me into K-pop with... out of all songs, Sneakers. I love Itzy, I love their music I miss Lia. The problem with many people is that they expect that every little thing is to their like and if it isn't they start saying things like their career is over, they are a flop, this is not Itzy; what the heck I love most of Izzy's music and there are songs that I didn't like that much but that's fine, if I don't like it, I don't like it and just wait for the next song.

The problem isn’t the music it’s how the company manages and promotes them. Because only sending them on music shows isn’t how you promote comeback. Where’s the advertisement?!?! When other groups are having a comeback their companies makes sure billboards are up weeks before the tour make non fan knows their artists are releasing new music. Also where’s solo promotions?!?! Whenever an ITZY member posts on ig 10-20 minutes later the clothes they were wearing is sold out on shopping websites and you’re telling me no brands are reaching out to them. The members are simultaneously charting in the top 100 female idols in the monthly brand reputation charts without any solo promotions. Back in July Yuna became first female idol to chart in the top 40 on the female brand reputation chart at #32 without any solo promotions

JYP may not be comfortable promoting them solo because of their history with Miss A vs. Suzy. The company's been known for avoiding solo promotions ever since, especially when it comes to girl groups. But I agree they've been mismanaging Itzy for a while now. The entire current kpop sound with chant choruses was a trend set by Itzy, they're still in the public's memory and have so much to give, but the company stagnated with the group's direction and they've been the ones suffering the consequences

For me there’s no such thing as a “downfall of ITZY”. The members have remained consistent in everything throughout the years: dancing, singing, rapping, stage presence etc. The fact that people call them names doesn’t change the fact that they are on top of their game, regardless of how many people appreciate them. Are they mismanaged? Apparently. Did many people jump on the hate train because it was the “trendy” thing to do? Also yes, big yes. Does that mean they’ve lost their worth as a group? Definitely not. ITZY are still successful and great at what they do, just not as popular as they used to be. I’d even argue their latest comeback was one of their best. The poor excuse that their music is not as good as before is just laughable to me, we all know people would eat up the same tracks if it was other groups’ comebacks. It’s just that ITZY have become a punching bag at this point and no matter what they do, people have collectively decided that they’re “not good anymore”. Watch and judge for yourself, the quality is still there and if you really want to support them, their mismanagement and harsh criticism they receive shouldn’t stop you. ITZY QUEENS 👑❤️

And people are excited, people that didn't stream will possibly come back from the OT4 incident. Even if we have to wait an entire month. It genuinely doesn't matter if you exclude them LMAOOO.. because you know their impact and you know they did what they needed to do at their peak, and still now they have THOUSANDS at their concerts, and they still hold the title of most subscribed 4th generation kpop group on an individual channel. Along with other apps, aswell. Which there are more popular groups than them. 28M is still AMAZING coming from no promotions and organic views. Considering every popular or well regarded company gives groups at this point payola or ads. They have Changbin on one of the tracks, a whole OT5 version takeover in the gold album, and new songs including 2 TITLE TRACKS. Even if they don't regain their peak, they are going to EAT regardless. They've eaten every comeback up no matter what opinions people have

But then once again as someone already mentioned in a previous in the comments that " MIDZYS GOT BRAINWASHED" . I can kind of understand from where they are coming from . Like their own (so-called) fans turning against them like that. In fact, just because Lia went on hiatus for recovery, even during that a lot of (so-called)midzys start to comment about how they stan ot4 . As if the jype not adding lia in one of their KZbin post was not enough.. I think that idols must think of their fans as a pillar of support and comfort but the fact that they were the first to turn their backs on them during the time they needed it the most is just painfully awful. I firmly believe it is not even the songs themselves being bad or something but rather it is the fault of lack of advertisement or proper management along with a lot of fans being so unloyal were the reasons for their downfall. I can definitely understand some people or causal listeners being so harsh on them with their critiques after all , you can not please everyone ( people have different preferences; likes or dislikes ; like there must be some stans who might prefer Cheshire or mafia in the morning or sneakers ovet their other hits....) But midzys and management should have put better effort. I am not trying to disrespect any true MIDZY but this just something that seems like the best explanation behind their loss of popularity and I think I just needed get off of my chest. As somebody that used to stan SES back in the day, none of that matters. New concept, old concept. Doesn't matter. This is about making a lot of songs in mostly English and causing their Korean fans to drop out and stan other groups like New Jeans, but their American fan base is as strong as ever. ITZY's first tour was definitely a once in a lifetime to experience with those awesome cover songs that were basically 100% english solos. Yuna's "Maniac", Chaeryeong's "Bloodline", Lia's "Red", Ryujin's "Boss Bitch" and Yeji's "Hotter than hell" . It turned a lot of Korean fans off but the American fan base is as strong as ever.

Well actually for Stray Kids i get it because they are boys group and as we know, Boy group stan (include me) always focus on what they release even the general listener didnt like it and we still like it because their music is what we stan no matter ppl said it's good or bad. but when come to girl group (i midzy,my and nswer), in girl group i see not only fans stream but many general listener too than boy group, and when some girl group didn't have something to pleasing general listener they gonna leave the group, i think that's what happened to itzy, the general listener who used to like the group itzy started to leave them just because of one mistake (sneaker era is not that bad!!) That's why, even in Korea we can see Girl Group dominate, and for Boy Group rarely seen, it's all because of general listener that's why girl group when general listener leaving some girl group you will feel the change. But afterall midzy still out there to support itzy even though the general listener are gone and itzy get hate for each side, idk it's like a trend now hating to what itzy release I just hope in this comeback itzy will gain their popularity again and can mark their path again as 4th gen monster rookie

I think JYP’s goal for all their groups was longevity in the industry, among other labels their groups have the most comebacks in a year, that they don’t actually rest well which somehow perhaps causes the anxiety to others, their korea & japan comebacks are always back2back and that’s the reason why people don’t easily forget them despite the many new groups rising But their latest album even had their solo songs which I think is a new thing for a JYP group, each member also improved to fill Lia’s position while she rests but also not pressuring her - I guess it’s still good that they’re continuously active than having no comebacks or no activities at all, compared to other groups who wish to have that busyness (& just do tiktok challenges or covers to keep the group active)

I feel div 2 needs to step up, much like how twices stepped up for tzuyu solo, even squ4d (nmixxs) stepped up the last couple of comebacks. Getting the new direction manager for born to be was a good start and hopefully they can keep pushing forward. The itzy webseries they have done are great but I feel they should have continued the csi series theme, they rely on m2 web series too much i feel even though those are awesome. Some more promotions would help aswell instead of the same shows .

The thing is Aespa, NJ and Ive have SOLID concept and catchy songs while ITZY songs are great but it doesnt really stick to your head. For Aespa, there is only two songs of theirs that I put on my playlist. supernova and the remake of SES's Dreams Come True.. For ITZY there are dozens of songs on my playlist..ITZY does better in America and Aespa does better in Korea. Since America is a bigger market by population, gdp, venues, etc. They are doing just fine. It is the groups that do OK in Korea but not well in America that end up disbanding. Brave Girls for example, and now kep1er.

Aespa is far more successful than itzy in the global market, no matter how much u try to convince urself otherwise u can't change the facts. If only korea listened to Aespa, Aespa wouldn't have high album sales, higher charting power, even higher monthly listeners than itzy (fyi korean doesn't use spotify much, so spotify heavily depends on global fans), Aespa also recently became the highest grossing concert among 4th gen gg, I think Aespa has proven themselves enough not to be judged by u midzys. Ngl when Aespa first debuted and started to set some records Mindzys were the fandom that targeted Aespa mostly, saying that itzy r 4th gen leader while Aesoa will flop, I still remember this clearly. Atleast now Midzys r silent they don't yao much nowadays, I've the utmost respect for Itzy don't have anything bad to say about them but Itzy's fans- I can say a whole lot about u guys. Really can't forget itzy biased/stan channels predicting Aespa's flop in 2020-21.

What frustrates me the most is that there are so many groups that do less than Itzy and get more recognition. Itzy's choreography is without a doubt among the best of all girl groups, but there are groups with lower choreography that are applauded for it. Itzy has a lot of talent, but due to one factor here or there, it gets overlooked. For me, Itzy is just as good as Aespa and deserves the same recognition. (this is not hate okay, I love aespa too. both groups are my fav along with some others)

The number of fans at their last concert and the fans dedication shows they are doing a lot better than a lot of other kpop groups out there. The fact they can have a tour in the usa with more than a few stops and so many rows of vip sold out is another indicator they are going to be just fine!! Have to say the excitement of Itzy fans to see Itzy is a lot higher than the fans of other groups that stan them and I wont name and shame.

I've been an Itzy stan since Dalla Dalla, but I've given up on JYP. The songs they give Itzy are JUST NOT GOOD. It's not Itzy's fault if JYP doesn't care about them. Their latest comeback Gold looks like another flop. I really want to like it, but it's meh. There's so many better kpop songs out there from other 4th gen groups, and it's JYP's fault for not doing better. It almost seems like he still reserves his best songs for Twice and their solos. How disappointing

They are THE most talented and musical vocal and dance group anywhere. No group is even close to their perfection when dancing and the chieo and music are so far advanced compared to any group. Every time they perform theY are basically perfectly synchronized. Don't know what you are looking at or listening to. The videos Mafia and Untouchable blow every other videos away in concept, production. Intricacies and satisfaction. Wake and really watch and listen.

It's always the bad management for the most talented groups, MAMAMOO is an example of that too, they blew up with HIP but had already prove time and time again how good their songs were and how iconic they were, yet, with poor management and lack of promotion they weren't able to stay at the top. Same happened to ITZY, if they had a management who cared about them and put effort and attention to the group, they'd still be extremely popular and top1, bcuz the deserve it.

oh boy jype definitely sent them to the basement the exact same moment when nmixx debuted, jype wanted itzy to be what nmixx is from the very start but didn’t know how to due to lack of creativity, but with nmixx they knew they were gonna able to kinda sorta make it, and that’s why all the budget was used for nmixx, also dont get me wrong im not hating on nmixx i actually im a fan but i just wish jype would have waited a a year or some months for their debut, that would’ve made a big difference for itzy, just imagine o.o (baila) as a song for itzy, itzy would have rise again by the time born to be was released almost a year ago

Love the girls, but haven't really listened to them much since the Mafia song. They need better songs and unfortunately JYP is too busy making his 50th group to give them or NMixx or even Twice the attention they need. If Itzy put out a better song that didn't sound like noise leftover from JYP's trash bin, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Best example is to check out Itzy's covers of older Kpop songs, they nail them perfectly.

I don't follow Kpop that much but I've known this group since their first song. IMO they still are great whenever I see them just that the songs let them down which affects their reach a whole lot. That performance from that one university was awesome. The songs are just not as accessible for someone not really following the whole industry as it feels too "competitive" and less of being a proper pop music. Compared to some newer group like NewJeans, I could just play their songs without watching the video and I'd enjoy it. After their first few songs, I couldn't really listen to it without the video. It's just not ITZY though but a huge part of Kpop but maybe it's really just not my cup of tea.

This isn't the old days when you could promote through reactors. If it was, you wouldn't need promoters. The fans once took care of it, but between patreon and copyright no one promotes the fans sit in paid accounts. They think they're making a difference. They aren't, you can't unless you hit the street like it's a guerilla concert and none of them show for stage battles. I blame fans. Most aren't real for any of these groups. That's why we lost weki meki. Explain how a group has 500k subs but can't get more than 10million views on a mv? Lies I tell you I was a sub of 500k but gave it at least 20 watches same day. If everyone else did it would blow up and be top tier but that 10 million on day 1 took 2 weeks to get there's shadey things taking place. If you ask me the big 3 get a bribe for pretending views are down so the payouts are less than the idols would normally get. Numbers don't jive. I remember when dreamcatcher piri came out. Insomniacs should have bypass the blinks but KZbin changed viewing rules after blinks release and before period release costing dreamcatcher a win. And that's some dedicated fans too.
