Glad someone said it. The only time I have fun in PvP is when my teammates are nukers. Rarely does the system balance the teams properly. Maybe implement a system that collects data of the characters in PvP. Properly assign heavy hitters across the teams rather than stacking them. Everyone would enjoy an actual bg that way.

PvP mods shouldn't exist. Simply lower overall damage until things are fine. It's okay if every skill isn't perfectly balanced.

Endless FPS games, fortnite, Dota/league, tarkov, sports based team games/ rocket league, CCGs like hearthstone, fighting games like Tekken, and you choose to be passionate about the pvp in a game where it's clearly an afterthought like it should be the devs main concern?

@@Glizzygoblin- Well, i neither said i agreed nor disagreed. And the reason why pvp is not their main concern is because theres not a lot of people doing it. And theres not a lot of people doing it, because its not their main concern. Its a bad downward spiral basically. Im not sure what other games has to do with it. Its like saying "but theres also oranges, bananas, and berries. And those are better, so why do you care so much that these strawberries are bad." (When my favorite food is strawberry, when its good) Hope that makes sense. But yea, thanks for putting your opinions out there, its definitely a very debated topic

I've been enjoying(?) healing in bg's lately so it's nice hearing about something directed at the pvp community- been running a nature build but I feel like there's something I'm desperately missing- sometimes it just feels really hopeless

I was just saying how bad it feels going into a BG and doing 20% of the damage I do in the world. I’ve literally DPS’s into enemy players for 10-15 seconds and their health barley moves. Meanwhile, they touch me for .5 seconds and I fall over. I get that gear/build is a thing…the the discrepancy is astronomical.

Level plays a big part as well, since there's no scaling. If you're 5 or more levels below an opponent, you're gonna have a bad time.

​@@Sneptics_Officialhey, great video. One of my primary concerns for this season is using rng as a means of gatekeeping the metaslave builds. I go in with a OWtL build because the card is guaranteed to drop. I go against a guy playing battle charge double down fel infused dark intent, he destroys me every single time. I go grab 3 golden card packs, get adaptive defense for the 12th time, still haven't rolled dark intent over two months into the season. My opponent can just swipe his credit card and sell xp auras on the ah and burn through golden tickets and get dark intent on launch day. I get it, the devs need money to keep the servers running, but if the game stops being fun because I cant afford to be a meta slave, the population is just going to keep shrinking until eventually it becomes a competition of who can be the sweatiest.

I'm no dev or an expert on balancing acts, but one thing they could do to kill the burst is tone the abilities that give 200% spell crit bonus damage like Ruin etc. then they don't got to nerf individual spells and you won't be getting hit with 8k pyroblasts hopefully

i might be wrong, but believe in the case of pyroblast it was just a multitude of talents that stacked together would make pyroblast go crazy.

Nerfs suck, but I wouldn't count adding a pvp modifier to an ability missing it as a nerf, it's a fix.

Tbf the ranged/casters reigning supreme over melee has been a thing for a really long time, regardless of seasonal or free pick. If everyone has the same options, then melee has no chance because they’re at the deficit and required to close the distance, so that’s 1 cd/gap closer or whatever required to even engage, at that point the ranged/caster just trades and in the end wins the interaction. So this isn’t a problem because seasonal is so bursty, it’s just a problem that comes with everyone having access to the same stuff - Classless

2 new player from 2 week ago love all the stuff going on but there is not a lot of good full starter guide we did not get skill card and talent card at start end did not know the level 10 max thing for card . so checking on KZbin for stuff your videos are nice and clear. so if you can a good end clear start guide video plz to help whit all the stuff going on lol. we are level 60 whit no card in build but we don't have card to do a good build to we need to prestige now or keep farming card. keep up the good work thx

Its a real easy fix . increase the hp pool by alot and i mean a lot, the10-19 bracket for example should be 5k hp. The issue isnt getting steam rolled, it that you dont get to press a button and your dead.Pvp is about skill and using your rotation, you cant even develop skills when your only able to press one button..

i was thinking of this a possible fix as well (increasing Health Pools) but i didnt want to include it in the video as i wanted the general opinions of the pvp community to be heard instead. But i had the same thought for sure.

The thing also is some specs arent good till 40-50 or even 60, so leveling bg's isnt ever gong to be balanced or fun really. Then it for what it is or pvp at 60 for more balance.

It's difficult to balance builds that have had the benefit of many thousands of rolls against fresh or even not that fresh 60 builds. I'm really not sure how you would even do that? I don't think simple damage nerfs would work because it is often more about the interactions between spells and talents that are boosting thinks to silly levels, so just nerfing the numbers would make said spell hit like a pillow for people without all the prerequisites and now you have a mostly dead spell. Maybe disconnecting the interactions between specific spells/talents would work but that would piss people off too. It's a tough one. I really like the idea of adding (less) scrolls for a loss. It would be a really good way to mitigate the bitterness of getting stomped. At least you would be making small amounts of progress, and it would be a change that would piss no one off. I tend to stick to the leveling brackets where things tend to be more even, ignoring the on-hit stacking.

Melee should be nerfed, the only builds that are nuking 1v1 are melee builds with 2 charges. If you manage to evade they will charge again and finish you. Casters and hunters are good in a 2v1 or behind the group. Im refering to prestige battlegrounds, not lvl 60.

Im playing a melee build in PvP right now and 2 charges isn't enough , I feel like everytime I charge a caster/ranged char they have everything to run away quickly and have shit tons of stun/fear/slow , sprint , 2 types of blink etc etc soo I often get stomped because I can't get quick enough to catch them even if I got charges/blink and a sprint ...

Good video but I wish you would have went more in depth about the state of balance on Ascension or the meta when it comes to making a build. I see you have other videos for example mentioning spells which have broken scaling or are capable of one shotting things but I'm curious why you didnt touch on this much during this video and the fact that some spells are capable of hitting for 5k+ when others struggle to hit for 1000 and how nothing is balanced around the time it takes to attack (casted spells vs instant). Basically on Ascension the difference between an optimized 1 button class vs a classlesss build is that 99% of the time the "class" will be 2-3 expansions stronger than anything classless. Along with that point comes another- the reason WHY certain spells can hit for 5k+ while others struggle comes down to talent investment on said abilities which completely straight up contradicts the idea of being classless. If you want something to hit super hard and be able to one shot- often times you have to spend 80%+ of your talent points on that ONE thing so you end up just being a "shadow bolt class" instead of a classless shadow wizard that also manipulates time for example. Good points about BG matchmaking. The teams are always 1 sided and pretty much every BG is a stomp with all the "strong" or "meta" players being on the same team or one team have 3 healers while the other has zero etc etc. Area 52 matchmaking is even worse, I know you mentioned 3-4 BGs will be running at any given time but on Area 52 its usually just 1 BG and half the time its not even full.

Ok so first of all thanks for your very thought out comment, i appreciate it. With that being said the intention of the video was to highligt the overall underlying issues with pvp. If i went into detail on each individual spell here the video would be waaay too long. Also the meta constantly changes and the pvp community doesent necessarily care too much about which spells and why they are nuking people more so than the frustation of getting nuked in the first place. Personally i dont care whether its a frostbolt or a crusader strike, if im getting oneshot in 0.5 seconds im calling bullshit no matter what and complaining about the root of the issue and not the symptom. Hope that made sense With that being said i do plan on making a part 2 of abilities with broken scaling, so if thats more your speed then stick around for that😉👍🏻

And facts yea idc if its frostbolt or crusader strike either- we are able to have like 30 abilities so when we look at recount it shouldn't just be one thing with 90% of our damage dealt lol

I want to add that imo being a ranged player, the game favours melee, 99% from lev 60 caches are strength items, 90% from abilities and talents are melee. Or its just my bad luck on 6 chars....

Each person complaining is coming from a different viewpoint so issues are not the same across the board. I.e. seasonal pvp vs. lower level pvp vs. end level pvp vs. A52 PvP. For example, melee have no issues in A52 but might in other realms/leveling. PvP changes to me seemed biased or lazy since the pvpe’rs know what’s completely OP but never gets touched or nerfed by 3% just so they can say they needed it, but it’s way outperforming other builds. I believe devs are friends with players or players themselves since the things to fix are obvious to everyone (but them apparently). They have the data so they know.

I dont even have fun when people in PvP are just oneshotting everyone. Bg queing from 10 up is usually a freaking nightmare with you just rolling a 50/50 on teams of win or loss, being a melee is fun until they have ranged (and or someone with owtl and FIW in melee taking absolutely no dmg for some reason and almost oneshotting people) its just a shitstomp and not fun 90% of the time especially with people saving gear over prestiges to have the most optimal bg leveling for spamming prestiges which basically just gives them even more of an edge over cardless players

I'll say her agree with everything except for the one comment about melee unable to do anything. If it's the objective base games like worse on gulch melee completely destroy if it is the team deathmatch Hill's bread Foothills melee are chickens waiting to get nuked. Melee's ridiculously overpowered with the right build. Some of those builds require very little to become incredibly powerful and leveling battlegrounds

The PVP is a disgrace and best described as broken cancer... players are now running around with full resistance and self healing only with every CC possible, killing nothing healing only themselves. They even camp rez spots, to thundering people over the edge into their mates below slaughtering people... this is just one grievance. The entire PVP experience is just a choke!! And zero cares by the devs??? And why.... because they are the Devs
