Yeah i also feel this video is a great opportunity to raise peoples awareness of El Dewrito, Halo3/Online on PC, its free to play anybody can download it, basically any pc can run it and we are supposedly very close to the 6.0 update where a lot will change for forge/custom games it will be great. Halo 3 was where Speed halo, avalanche, fat kid, ice cream man, halo (you drove in a circle with the zombie on the middle sniping), and many other OG game types. Halo Reach improved most of the games, but some of my favorite Halo memories was in Halo 3.

oh yeah jenga, fat kid, the skill testers! bus stop kids, getting out side maps! the H3 meme community! maze maps ghost busters! paintball, the halo game modes. (my mates all asked how i was so good at driving in halo lmfao). im from new zealand and i used to play custom games with british, american, french, australians, that shit brought the world together man. when people used to utilise little glitches in maze maps like how you could get in a warthog through the wall or how you could man a turret through a wall then if you looked up you could get off on the other side, get on the turret again look down and you would warp through the wall again. THE AMOUNT OF EFFORT IT TOOK TO MAKE A SMOOTH TRACK ON THAT GAME, it wasnt as simple as "make terrain not solid" you had to have spawn timers so they fused together

Dude, you're going to make me shed tears. Halo Reach was probably the highlight of my life. I met some amazing friends. That was also the time when I was most creative with my forge maps. We would do anything and everything and it didn't care to us as long as we had fun. I was even part of a machinima which was so much fun to play a part of. Unfortunately the director kinda just stopped playing so it never got finished but my Reach friends and I had loads of fun. One of then even became my first girlfriend. Now, well, I don't play Halo as much anymore. Mostly because my friends don't play it as much either. It's not as fun by yourself. And even when I did, I wasn't as creative as I was. I had all the tool and ideas, but nothing fell in place and I was never motivated to finish them. And my Reach friends, well, I haven't spoken to any of them in years and I broke up with my girlfriend one and a half years ago. We just went our separate ways, I guess. Each have our own lives. Now, I'm not that sad about it. But I reminisce about those times and will cherish them in my heart forever. Thank you, Reach. The last good Halo game. 4 and 5 aren't that bad. I have good memories there too.

The only thing that is actually sad to me is the fact that these games we spent so much time in, always being able to play with our friends on it at any time of the day, will never be populated ever again no matter what. Halo Reach was the first real Halo game that I played online, when I was like 10 with my new Xbox 360 (prior to this I only played the Halo 1 and 2 campaign over and over again 24/7 because I only had an Xbox original.) All of the sleepover birthday parties would just be us preteens playing Halo Reach in the basement all night until 5 in the morning with our custom games we made. Nothing will ever make these old games as fun as they were before with the original communities even with the remaster that will come one day. There was just nothing like playing those custom games like they were when they were new ideas. All of the customization and the new Forge that everyone loved will just never be as good as it used to be before. ❤❤RIP HALO❤❤

I think the mode was literally called Halo. But it was an infection mode with a sniper in the middle. Everyone else had to ride mongooses while the sniper shot at them and if they reached the end of the course, they'd get a sniper and take out the infected sniper in the middle. Halo Reach Custom Games is really the sole reason that it’s my favorite video game of all time. I literally have countless memories of just insane Friday nights playing with groups of 16 people and just laughing and shouting my lungs out because of how much pure joy and fun we were having. Jump Rope, Nom Nom, Speed Halo, Tornado, Fat Kid, Hide and Seek, Splatter Monkey, Teacher, Avalanche, the memories I have of playing those game modes and playing them with the people I was playing with are without a doubt my favorite gaming memories and are the gaming memories I hold most dear and will never ever forget. I regret to say the I checked out after Halo 4, the Halo series was my favorite game franchise of all time and Halo 4 was maybe my most anticipated game of all time, which inevitably made me disappointed in so many ways, and I lost all faith in the future of Halo. I’m glad now that Custom Games is back and truer to the funner sense of community freedom that it should be, but I’m too far gone to come back to it now. The moment I knew something was off about 343’s handling of Halo, was when I opened up Reach one day, went to matchmaking, and saw that they had taken down the Action Sack playlist, never to put it back up again.

I was there for the huge explosion of Halo 3 custom games! Duck Hunt started in Foundry on Halo 3, and it was a blast. I was about 14 during that, and Haunted House and Fat Kid were CLASSIC! I hope Halo Infinite brings it back.

You what I think made Reach amazing? New Custom games were invented and fun to play. What made Halo 4's custom still fun? New minigames and later, modded gametypes/maps for greater flexibility. What happened in Halo 5? I think we got caught up in the nostalgia too much and stopped innovating as much as we could, but there is some great stuff that came out because of how great forge was. I know that, for myself, work is a big drain on creativity and made me drop out of forge. I build with blocks everyday and need to come up constantly with new ideas and it is very taxing on my mind. I just can't be creative out of work anymore. I guess that's just part of growing up. It's kinda sad isn't it? Having those great memories of stuff that you could still potentially play and enjoy, but you'll never be able to do so again. I think we got to move on to new stuff.

Either that or people you meet on matchmaking would invite you all the time to a custom games lobby, I would scroll down the recents tabs too to find someone playing customs games and it would work most of the time. The real glory days was in Halo 2 punching obstacles around the map to make makeshift barricades and a group plays as infected and others are survivors. That's why the infection gamemode was introduced in Halo 3 you know.

Press F! God damn man this takes me back. I started back in halo 3 glory days of custom games. Back when after every big team battle match you would get like 6 invites to different Lobby’s filled with people for custom games. Everything from Fat Kid, to “toro toro” (the bull charging game with the chopper) it was so much fun. Watching custom games evolve over the years has been a roller coaster. It’s had its ups and downs *cough* halo 4 *cough* but it was brought back with halo 5. I enjoy halo 5 today just because of when they added in the browser update. It took me back to being a little kid playing all the custom games on h3. Thank you for the throwback.

I don't usually comment on videos, but this is an exception. Fantastic video, you're funny and I hope your channel takes off. This video was a great reminder to me about how much fun I had starting in Halo 3 customs, making my own maps for my friends after school. Starting with a custom mode called "Capture the Cav" on high ground (the E was left out because of character limit). It was simple but we looked forward to playing it every day. Then I had a sick week at school and I started working on other projects like custom Drive or Die maps, or splatter monkeys, and obstacle courses, or race tracks. Eventually Halo: Reach came out, and ho-ly-shit. That game blew my mind, being able to have objects float instead of having to set them on teleporters or by leaving while holding the object in Halo 3. The very first thing I started to do was make linear infection maps. Having a story and lore to the map ready for my friends that weekend was what everyone looked forward to. Halo: Reach was absolutely my favorite game, I loved the mix between customs and online competitive multiplayer, and the campaign. I spent many nights disobeying my parents' orders to go to bed, just so I could work on my maps. Once Halo 4 came out, everyone bought it (which was anticipated) and my first thought was super optimistic. I saw the beautiful graphics for the 360, and I was excited to see what 343 and microsoft would do with the series after Reach. I was disappointed to say the least. Everyone eventually stopped playing Halo because we just simply didn't enjoy it like we did with the others, and we all moved on to other games together, like Modern Warfare 3 or GTA 5. God do I miss some of the friends I met in Halo 3 and Reach, some of the most fun I've ever had playing video games in my life.

I had a group of 15 friends and me and we spent endless hours playing custom games. It was all led by one guy DetectiveXconan. I remember playing all the game modes you have going on in the background too. Usually when i think back on halo, its having fun in custom games with all of them. I miss those days.

Oh man this video gives me such a big nostalgia rush. I remember back in the days from 2014- 2016, My friend from school and I ran a clan on reach and we called ourselves the "Ducks". At our peak we amassed about 20 clan members. I remember staying up for hours and hours playing custom games with my friends. Like trash compactor, speed halo, fat kid, all the classics. It was so much fun. Our clan was somewhat recognized, as I remember a few people in multiplayer servers recognized us. Sadly we parted ways sometime in 2016, and It still saddens me when I think about all the fun I had with this game. But hey, I'm glad that I was there to experience it in its fullness. I miss those times. Anyways, this is a great video. Keep up the good work :)

Aaaahhhhh the Halo 3 custome games days. Still to this day, not looking through those rose tinted nostalgia glasses but those were some of the best ever days of online gaming. Fat kid on foundry, cops and robbers with friends you made over a game of team slayer on high ground, duck hunt and so many more. Those were the good ol days. The memories that will last though those days are long gone. I cherish them. Though i feel i missed out on Halo: Reach's custom games, i'm just happy that passion and fun carried on and grew from Halo 3 and many got to enjoy that slice of gaming together. Halo's custom games had that unique style of playing and creating game types to play together that i feel no other franchise has came close too, even the sequels have not either. It was a great time. Though that time has passed, the memories live on.

You forgot Fat kid and santa Claus in Halo 3 that went to Reach..in halo 3 there was a game mode that was zombie game(forgot the name) and the map was Sandbox( the one with the towers shooting at you but you can use the trip mine to glitch the tower) Miss those times.

I was a map maker I often hosted loads of custom games I spent 7 years forging new maps. They were some of the best times! I never stopped playing halo reach since 2011 and watched it go from 100,000 players a day to less than 2000, and i’m so happy it’s come to PC and MCC!! It is time to relive the old times

im with you, imo halo 4 was the worst of all. ive never had to force myself through a halo game like i did with that one, halo 5's multiplayer was fun it really was it was incredibly fast paced and the got rid of armour lock (thank the gods). However it was no longer the game series i fell in love with which started dying after 3 (not saying reach is a bad game but 3 was the pinnacle) halo has things like shotty snipes you dont get loadouts swat weapons spawn on the map consistently, believe it or not i liked having weapons spawn on the map it meant you had objectives without there actually being an objective the tactical positioning backed up by raw skill instead of him blowing a pile of money on cards so he can get a ridiculously op ghost or whatever

TheAnjizz see that’s what we lore fans have a problem with. The COD = fast paced gameplay. With how long it takes to kill somebody in Halo, the such speedy ways are kind of crazy fast. Thats why we play reach still because it balances that perfectly.

Truly lucky to have been able to play halo 3 & reach in it’s glory days. Never gonna forget the immense amount of fun and amazing moments that came from those two games.
