That was a splendid recreation of lost-media we're still waiting to discover after many decades! The thumbnail of this made me look forward to what was coming, especially seeing the BBC "Bat Wings" logo, which was introduced around the time when "The Sad Story of Henry" broadcast to the BBC. The narrator sounds spot-on to British narrators of children's programmes from this era, e.g. Watch with Mother. I also recognise that BBC Children's Television intro shown at the beginning and putting that before the programme will confuse some into thinking this is real. :P The adaption of this surprised me, especially seeing James appear. I like how normal the scene from 2:26-2:39 is, considering back in the day, these were live broadcasts, and they couldn't edit the errors out. Seeing the brick wall appearing in front of Henry at 5:34 with a string attached is another example, since this was live, they couldn't add bricks one by one as the hands would appear on live television again! This video along with others from the "75th Surprise Packet" made my day today, this is the best recreation attempt I've seen of this lost-media in a while! :-)

Can I just say, this is one of the most brilliant recreations of "The Sad Story of Henry" I've ever seen so far. Probably one of the best lost media recreations of this year 2020!! And it is nice to see the whole episode recreated, rather than just that one incident scene. I've been waiting to see this accurate recreation of this for 3 years and it's finally here. YAY!!!! And also, that BBC narrator for this episode sounded real, was that an audio taken from an old BBC Radio broadcast? Since at the time, most radio shows were archived, whilst the television shows weren't. Just wondering. But overall, that was the most brilliant recreation I've ever seen so far!! Keep up with the awesome work SodorsNWRstream!!!! :D

Despite of how many kids in the chat spamming fake are just trying to pull you down, I think this is a good adaptation, keep up the good work!

Wow! I've been wondering how this could've been found but how did you get hold of it? where has it been this whole time? and will we finally see the "jerky Railway operation" as Wilbert described it I cannot wait! Edit: this was before I watched it and realised it was fake

This is so spot on, you could show this in the 1950s, and people would believe it was real.

I knew this wasn't the real BBC story, but I'm not mad at you for that. I think your version is more beautiful than what I imagine the genuine article might look like. I only wish the BBC's sad story of Henry had been successful. If it had been, Thomas & Friends might've avoided the horrid reboot by Mattel and Nelvana. I also wish Julia Lang had been hired as the 1st narrator of the RWS audiobooks.

The actual original first episode of Thomas, huh.

Indeed, although this PARTICULAR version is simply a reconstruction. Now if only we’d get the remake of the 1976 Andrew Lloyd Webber pilot.

@MrBlueSkyof16073 жыл бұрын
@@thatrandomredengine9430 Might’ve followed the series by doing each of the stories in a sorta chronological order. I say sorta because Sad Story was the 3rd book in the original series.

Well, This will either be a really great recreation of the original TV Episode from 1953, done by recovering the script and TV notes. Or you have recovered one of the several artifacts of media the world has presumed lost forever, as the 1950’s Thomas flopped after it’s first episode (the Hand of God incident from this very episode). If you found it, Congratulations, You found the film everyone deemed lost forever... Perhaps you know the one person who stole the Video Tape of Doctor Who Feast of Steven, and the other 97 missing episodes? (joke)
