@@kaijukingdom2686 the 3D is better since it's easier to model for fights and makes it look better. Also, it's easier to model grappling and striking with 3D models even if they don't look good interacting with 2D drawings the reason it's easier to model fights in 3D is because of proportions when you make a 3D model you have to change it to have unrealistic proportions but with the growing 2D. You have to make an active effort to not have unrealistic proportions Meaning grappling can come off much better in 3D than 2D

I think Baki can learn something from the Kengan Ashura anime, and it’s simply about giving explanations for techniques. Both series do this, but Kengan keeps it much more brief, allowing for more fighting. As for power scaling, I don’t care. I just want enjoyable fights to watch

I think this is just because the more Baki advances the more ridiculous the feats gets so it kind of hard to explain them properly, Kengan feats are much more grounded in reality so they're easier to understand.

This was fluff, just a clash to have materal rights that is Netflix. The movie needed more reasoning and set up to have this engagements, this fight selections were hype material not evualated properly. Baki's art is photoflash they could have used a different art style from both series.

The truth is baki highballers way overhype the verse. Like people seriously believe that baki was lightspeed just because musashi said it. Like it was an obvious exagerration. And the narrator said that yujiro's reaction time is 0.5 seconds, which is 5 times slower than professional normal athletes but no one is pointing that out

The baki manga explained itself, there is a 0.5 sec gap between when your brain reacts to something and when your body reacts.Quote from baki itself," imagine a knife flying towards you, you see it and start to react to it,but 0.5 seconds ago your brain and eyes were already processing that information and 0.5 seconds later your body starts to move from the brain signals". Baki and other characters have the ability to *know* when that happens and take advantage of it. Attacking before the brain signals travel fully before it reaches its destination, legs , arms and where ever. That is when they are sill thinking about their next move. try moving your arm ,0.5 seconds before, your brain is already thinking about it. baki just attacks you in that time frame.(there is no way to avoid this even if you move at lightspeed for human characters). Yujiro overall feats is nowhere below average athletes, you are just lowballing baki verse, as all the others feats from baki far surpassed kengan (i read both, plus kengan omega). Yujiro cracked the glass just by his aura, shook a 150m skyscrapper out of just anger, that made things actually vibrates real strong and dust particles were clearly falling down. stopped a medium earthquake with a punch, pure speed can be calculated to mach 37(the panel where he disappeared right in front of the cops then appeared behind them again, and they were observing him without a blink). The distance between him and the cops was approximately 58m, and the human eyes take 1/220th second to perceive an image, so his speed is calculated to be about Mach 37.5229.

Few would have been completely satisfied with this crossover, however much of the criticism is counterproductive like with that over the Berserk anime adaptations: do you want more of the ‘verse, or less? For every Kengan or Baki there are dozens of Japan High School bullsht series competing for the same animation development money. They could make these out of construction paper and crayon and i’d still watch.

The power scaling was wrong in this movie aswell, we all know the Baki characters have feats and scaling that is much much stronger than the kengan characters, not to mention Baki characters can weaponise imagination aswell. So seeing any Baki character lose really didn’t make sense to me.

People are talking about how the animation style should have been in Kengan Ashura style, but I disagree. Before you start saying anything, I like Kengan Ashura more because of its great story and it looks so much like how pro fights should at such a high level, however, the whole time I couldn’t help wishing the animation was more in 2D than CGI. I don’t hate CGI (even though a lot of shows have used it horribly, Baki being one of them btw), I just happen to think that it doesn’t really work here. Instead, they should’ve added more substance to the fights rather than recycling the same animation a few times. 😭

The actual main issue was the fact that, at the point of the crossover, Baki verse was 10 fold more powerful than Kengan. Baki would realistically be able to maul and decapitate Ohma into 27 disfigured pieces in less than 3 seconds. So it didnt make any sense... nothing made sense. Even at THIS point in the baki and Kenga manga, Baki verse is STILL considerably and CONSISTENTLY more powerful and broken compared to Kengan... especially someone like Yujiro compared to Kuroki Gensai, who would not even beat Doppo in Baki. Anyway, I hope to never see such a crossover ever again in my life.
