@@Rue_Elpis777 unfortunately morax has kind of done everything he can for xiao, & xiao is extremely grateful to him for this, morax can provide xiao with medicines but they obviously don't heal everything venti's flute is xiao's only real medicine, hence why he loves the music so much & that one lantern rite line, 'things have been a little more stable since an old friend visited me' (suggests venti hangs by every now & then to make xiao feel better)

With Rex Lapis out of picture from the Liyue, and that line "A contact to end all contracts has been signed" between Tsaritsa and Morax, xiao should be Freed as well .. he should retire and get rehabilitation with Venti so that he could at least fulfill his one true wish .. I'm honestly surprised that this is being presented as something that's typically unknown in the fandom... If one pays enough attention to the way he speaks or how certain people talk about him, they would already know this without needing to get the Companionship EXP. But one of the biggest flaws of this fandom is that everyone wants a skip button because they can't be bothered to read/listen to dialogue, then proceed to act surprised when people point out the things that would've interested them that they had skipped. Genshin is half battle, half lore. But instead, people think it's 80% battle and only 20% lore, or even 100% battle and 0% lore. I'm genuinely flabbergasted at how readily people disregard the story in favor of titties and big numbers.
