I also think by the way the game was structured it was virtually impossible for the full $2000 to be given. Only one person wins anything and they would have to have all 20 bars or whatever to get the amount promised in the title. In the end destiny had 10 bars, each $100, so she only gets $1000, not $2000. I imagine their profit margins are just insane too. They use the same set with literally nothing on it besides their little $50 worth of props and the people. It probably takes a crew of 5 people to shoot (since they literally just stand in one place and talk normally) and two or three people to edit the footage (depending on how fast they put stuff out). Their editing isn't even that good like with the ASMR thing they did. I understand they want average people and not actors or people just wanting to get paid for the time filming, but they need to have better prizes and random consolation prizes. $2000 barely makes a dent in anything now.

That's cause jails are private businesses. In return for holding prisoners they get basically free labor. There's a lot of incentive to keep inmates in jail. Some people even genuinely find peace in it since at least in jail you don't have to worry about food or shelter and you can have hobbies in jail. Some have free classes too. Not that it makes up for the otherwise bad conditions and exploration but some people's lives are bad enough that it's a respite.

i love jordan breaking it down like a political study when all the dude wanted to do was allow for more bricks to be in play because of the rules of the game, so more people get two in which they can spend as opposed to just a few people getting two

16:30 There ARE a lot of taxes for game show winnings, BUT if your prize is entirely cash they just take the tax out of the cash. So it's not like you have to pay $300 in tax, they just take tax from the winnings so you get $700 instead of $1000 after paying $300. Depending on the state there may be additional taxes that are taken out, which sucks. I think California is one of the states that doesn't take a lot of extra tax out, though?

Normally I don't walk away a better person after watching Jubilee, but your commentary was both refreshing and thought provoking. Most underrated channel on youtube (your's, not Jubilee lol)

As a college student, I woulda just immediately been like “Ay, ok, so we all are aware that college is detrimental to our bank accounts and personal health, physically and mentally, so let’s just evenly split it between us all and like.. use it for good causes like helping ourselves and our families, and paying for books and food and travel, and heck, maybe even use it to, I dunno, PAY OFF OUR DEBTS??”
@livnicole12842 жыл бұрын
If they split it evenly, everyone would get less than 300 dollars. You can’t pay off college debts with that.

@@malegazeofficial it was so confusing. It’s like the players weren’t even told the rules properly. Kat seemed to understand. I was so confused when someone removed a bar from Destiny’s pile when the rules seem to be that only the one with the highest pile can win? That person wasn’t going to win regardless, so why still acting like that? I don’t understand..
@genericname87272 жыл бұрын
@@malegazeofficial never mind. Someone said it was Destiny who gave away one of her own bricks. That makes more sense to me. Still not logical, but I understand her feeling insecure and not wanting to feel like she’s taking from someone else when she already had most of the bricks. Pretty sad situation.
