Lovely. Classic shape, modest and feminine with and without the ruffle. The gores of different colors add a whole different look. Even the same view changes with the type of fabric.

Hello Jayne! I just discovered your utube channel just a few days ago and I can’t stop binge watching!!😆😆Your channel is absolutely delightful!! I am so terribly sad for your recent loss of your husband…..such a terribly difficult time for you. Take comfort in the memories of your life and love together. I ordered the Dixie dress and blouse pattern and am sooo excited to get started on it! Totally my style of dress! I must ask you where you find all the lovely little pullover vests that you wear, especially the little red one? They are just darling worn with your dresses and skirts! I look forward to your next video, love from Calgary, Canada 🇨🇦❤️🍁

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a beautiful but simple versatile pattern!! I live in such a windy area so gave up wearing tight skirts constantly. Your pattern is tight enough it won't fly up around my ears but still lovely and swishy. An elastic waistband would be good as I sometimes expand after lunch slightly 😂❤

I am going to buy the pattern...$$$ bit tight at the moment as we are renovating. I would love to try it in a lighter weight needlework- we are in Winter here - although a denim version is tempting. I have a mum tum so my waistline doesn't exist anymore so am a little worried about a waistband without elastic. It will take a lot of pattern adjusting to do the Sadie, I would think? Anyway, am tempted to try to put elastic in the back waistband? But, I will try the straight waistband first, maybe with some cheaper fabric. Anyway, the Sadie is definitely going to happen. It is No. 1 on my wish list!❤

Hello Jayne! Just finished my Sadie skirt this afternoon! Looks so good and yay for putting „big girl pockets“ in it…my phone fits and my keys! Thankyou for giving options…my mom wants one too now! Wore it to the market and got a compliment for it :) working on a Fleur pinafore now and practicing my pattern matching. It’s looking quite promising ;) sending lots of creativity!

I absolutely love all of your versions! So many beautiful options. I adore my skirts, and I'll definitely be making more for sure. This pattern fits me perfectly too, which I love because I have quite a big difference between my waist and hips xx

I'm finally gathering up the courage to try putting in a zipper, and have chosen the Sadie skirt to do it. Your tutorials are so helpful, and I think if anybody can get me through it, you can. ;) I have some beautiful corduroy leftovers from all the many pinafores (a mashup of Fleur tiers and the Poppy bodice :) ) I've made. This was so helpful for planning my panels. :) Fingers crossed!

So, just to update, in case it's useful for others: I got all my panels cut out, but I didn't have my invisible zips bought yet, and wanted to keep going. (I tend to be a bit impatient with getting my sewing projects done.) I did have leftover wide elastic from pants and culottes I'd made, so I interfaced the waistband as per the instructions, but then did an elasticated waist in back with a flat front. Rather than do the horizontal stitching to hold the elastic in place, since I thought the corduroy might be a bit heavy for that, I just did a couple of vertical lines of stitching across the back waistband about a third of the way and two-thirds of the way, to keep it from twisting. I've made one more since in leftover chambray that I had made into pants that I didn't grade properly (I didn't read the measurements of the pattern closely enough), combined with leftover linen blend from one of my many Fleur/Poppy pinafores. An amazing stash buster, and I've felt my body type has never gotten along with A-line skirts--until now! Thank you! @@TheDressmakersCloset
