Wow... I remember watching this back when it was uploaded and after watching today's yellow evo upload, you made want to clean up my engine bay again. You've come a long way man and I'm glad I am able to witness everything!

Good video, I definitely feel more confortable to wash my engine since it would be the first time I’m doing it so I’ll get the degreaser. Thanks bud.

FP Black, you'll make easy 500 with room to grow. We just finished a stock motor. Tubular manifold fp black and supporting mods. Made 427 on pump gas off the waste gate. Re-tune on e85 will easily break the 500 barrier.

So you’re telling me to go to the car wash and wait around for 3-4 hours before cleaning it?

I say just get a stock frame upgrade like a GTX 3076 OR 3576, some more fuel and turn up the boost. Easy 500+ and should be very reliable since you already have the built motor

I put on a stock location gtx3576r from turbo parts of Canada. Making 480whp on 93 at 28psi. Built motor and cams. About to tune for e85. Rickerman tune. I think it’s a great turbo if you are looking for 500whp or so.

Next time after final rinse blow it off with the air hose to not only dry it quicker but avoid water getting anywhere you don't want it💪🏼 good shit tho
@centycents2 жыл бұрын
isnt that the opposite? water is forced by the strong airhose into crevasses and gromets, potentially shorting electronics
@curtiskulppi6 жыл бұрын
Tons of options for just spray applications at local and online stores so you don't have to pressure wash for those that are hesitant. Get same result just have to do little more leg work to get everything cleaned up.

I’ve pressured washed my engine bay without covering the alternator multiple times and just put a bag over your air filter and if you have an oiled air filter don’t have to worry as much

You can send in your stock turbo and just get the internals done. That's what my buddy did to his X. The turbo was sent to Turbolab over in Florida. Results is pretty much a stock frame turbo with EF4 internals.

Which degreaser do you like? The link isn’t working? Can’t tell if you said super clean or simple green
@joseglory65466 жыл бұрын
You messed up that air filter by scrubbing it with that brush cone air filters are designed to where the fibers are woven together scrubbing them cause them to break or become undone causing less air flow and they are actually going to run normally even if they are dirty especially with an oiled air filter

I'm not trying to put anyone down here but I had a hard time trying to understand what was said. Lack of enunciation and words overlapping mostly. Not the entire video; most of it was discernible. Also, I don't have a power washer only a garden hose with an adjustable nozzle. Lastly, the consensus of opinion is that you should clean your engine not when cold but warm not hot. The warmth apparently helps cut the grease as warm grease is easier to remove.

Cringe video. This is the equivalent of driving your car into a 5 foot tall puddle/pool. Smart idea? If it’s dirty, leave it. The inside of a car is not designed to be squeaky clean and wet. Otherwise the manufactures would build cars without hoods. You could damage smaller electrical components
