Instead of using masking tape, just pop down a set of trashed supports from a previous print. Cure these onto the blob with a shot of UV, the whole thing will peel off using the firmly bonded supports as a grip.

@@Alvaro-fh9gz alcohol/metho will also work, let it penetrate around the edges. BE GENTLE and let the scraper be the absolute last resort. Invest in a tablet screen protector that fits your screen dimensions. It saved my LCD from being totally destroyed.

I agree this is the best way I've seen to do it. Never use anything but soft objects like microfiber cloths etc on a screen like this. I use a different kind of tape but good to know general masking tape works well too. Thanks for the video.

Ugh, good to know, but it's a shame it comes just a few weeks too late for me! I accidentally destroyed my mono screen's polarizing filter cleaning resin, and after wasting money on replacement filters I got a new screen... Just yesterday... Oh well, informative and heloful as always, so thanks! I just wonder what the performanc eof tape is like on those very thin spills where it is almost like a film? Those are the hardest to scrape up, does tape work for those?

As for touching the resin with your bare hand, I think it's a bit over-exaggeration, I do not underestimate it because some people might have irritating skin but from my personal experience I've touched the resin by mistake many times, even 2 days ago a size of 2 full big spoons have fallen into my bare foot, I didn't feel anything just a slight feeling of heat and itchy feeling for about 10 minutes and all good! nothing was really awful , summary is do not panic if you touched uncured resin by mistake and take it with caution at the same time
@wangdennys
@wangdennys 2 ай бұрын
years ago when i first start, i have the same thinking like you. i don't even feel any itch or heat, nothing at all. it's like i am immune to resin. for years i am fine. but now after, touch a resin, and i will end up with itchy blister that wont go away for weeks. PPE is about preventing the sh*tshow.

Hey Denys, in the past, I would put a few drops of uncured resin over the cured screen resin, then place one of my old model discarded cured supports into the drops, then cure it for around 30 seconds. Then the entire mess peels off just like your tape! Ever try that?

if a print works and prints fine then you reprint it right afterwards and it fails and punctures tiny holes in your fep film, what in your opinion could be going on? the resin then gets on the screen and cures like this. but what would cause it to have punctures in the first place if the settings didnt change and neither did the files?
