Yes, it’s an interesting connection! The town of Fatima in Portugal, where the Marian apparitions occurred in 1917, does share its name with the daughter of Muhammad, which some see as a symbolic link. Many believe that Our Lady of Fatima’s message emphasizes the conversion of hearts and a call for peace through faith in her Son, Jesus Christ. Some interpret her message as a hopeful sign for the eventual reconciliation of all people to Christ, including those from the Islamic faith. The miracles and messages from Fatima continue to inspire devotion and prayer for peace and conversion in the world.

I think that when saint Claire of Assisi raised the corpus Christi towards heaven since jesus said whenever there are 2 praying people gathering and praying to God in jesus name God will answer when it comes truly in their hearts i think that the islam invaders saw an army of heaven defending the city like in the old testament a huge army that shaken the entire jihadist in fear and choose to retreat.

Thank you for your insightful comment! It’s a beautiful thought that, through the power of the Eucharist and Saint Clare’s faith, the invaders may have experienced a divine vision that led to their retreat. I was a little confused at first. I'd never known Muslim armies to get that far into Italy before. It turns out that they did attack, but they were Muslim mercenaries fighting on behalf of Frederick II of the HRE. This makes St Claire perfect for our time, when our own leaders entice Islam into overwhelming Europe.

Thank you for your insightful comment! You're right about the context-during the time of St. Clare, Muslim mercenaries were indeed used by Emperor Frederick II in his campaigns, including the attack on Assisi. St. Clare's unwavering faith in the face of danger, when she famously raised the Blessed Sacrament and prayed for protection, serves as a powerful example of trust in God during difficult times. Her story does resonate today as an example of standing firm in faith despite challenges and uncertainties. Some people seem determined to erase the memory of Saint Clare of Assisi while they do not believe in Islam at all. I wonder what time period Saint Clare of Assisi lived. Is the only reason some people wanted to erase the memory of Saint Clare is because she may have been a good friend to St. Francis of Assisi or what while they were continually only imagining something else about that too while then they were believing their own lies about what they 'saw'.
@CatholicJourneyy2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Saint Clare of Assisi lived in the 13th century (1194-1253) and was indeed a close companion of St. Francis of Assisi. Together, they embraced a life of poverty and devotion to Christ. Clare founded the Order of Poor Clares and is remembered for her deep faith and courage, including when she defended her convent from invaders by holding up the Blessed Sacrament. There’s no effort capable to erase her memory, as her legacy continues to inspire many today. Her friendship with St. Francis helped shape the Franciscan movement, but she was a remarkable figure in her own right. It's important to focus on her incredible life of holiness rather than any misunderstandings about her story.

Those, who d o n ' t know the Holy Scriptures, act like blind, searching for the path with their sticks, being uncertain about the next step. Islam cannot and n e e d s not to be defeated, because the revelation of the Holy Qur'an was executed by t h e H o l y A r c h a n g e l G a b r i e l (in Islam J i b r i l ) and therefore is a continuation of the Holy Revelation of Patmos and a link between Patmos and the Present-Day-Revelation, which startet in 1830 in Paris, 1846 LaSalette, 1858 Lourdes, 1917 Fatima and many other Holy Apparitions until today in Medjugorje (Bosnia). Christianity and Islam are o n e a n d t h e s a m e r e l i g i o n , this statement was made by the Prophet Mohammed himself (Hadith 652, Volume No. 4, Salih al-Bukhari), so that Islam does not need to be defeated.
@CatholicJourneyy2 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. While Christianity and Islam share some common roots, such as the belief in one God and the reverence for figures like Abraham and Gabriel, they also have significant theological differences, especially concerning the nature of Jesus Christ. The Catholic faith holds that Jesus is the Son of God and the only path to salvation (John 14:6), while Islam views Jesus as a prophet, not divine. Saint Clare’s story is more about her personal faith and trust in God during a moment of danger, rather than a conflict between religions. It’s important to approach these discussions with respect for both traditions while recognizing their unique teachings. Dialogue between faiths can help foster mutual understanding, even when there are differences.
@JosephMayowa-i9c2 ай бұрын
@@CatholicJourneyy The Holy Qur'an urges all Muslims to read and study the Holy Gospel even before reading the Holy Qur'an. Also there is a hint to the Prophet Mohammed, that in case there is any doubt about any spiritual context he should consult someone from the "lerned amongst the people of the book", someone who is renouned to possess profunde knowledge, in order to get sound and correct information. The contents of the Holy Qur'an were revealed to the Prophet by the Holy Archangel Gabriel (Jibril), who by no means would reveal anything different than what is found written in the Holy Gospel. Those contents that differ from the Holy Gospel, are most probably placed into the text during the centuries for political reasons, in order to create disagreement between Muslims and Christians. There are three major facts that can be considered to be the "Frame context" between Islam and Christianity, which can be taken as the fundament, the pillars and the roof of a faith, that is commonly shared by the believers in what is still considered to be two different religions. 1. Surah 29,46: One and the same God. 2. Hadith No. 652, Volume No.4, Salih al-Bukhari: The Prophet Mohammed is said to have made the following statement: "In both worlds, this earthly one as well as in the beyond, I (the Prophet) am - amongst a l l human beings - t h e o n e who is c l o s e s t to I s a , the Son of Mary. The Prophets are paternal brothers, their mothers may differ (in terms of time), but their r e l i g i o n is o n e a n d t h e s a m e . 3. The Holy Qur'an contains information, that places J e s u s at the very centre of the Holy Qur'an. That information results in a syllogism, which can be called "The Syllogism of The Word of God within the Holy Qur'an": Major: Surah 4,171: Jesus is the Word of God. Minor: Surah 10,37: The,Qur'an is the Word of God. Medius (Conclusion): Jesus is the Qur'an. Compare mathematical syllogism: Major: 5 + 2 = 7 Minor: 4 + 3 = 7 Medius (Conclusion): 5 + 2 must be = 4 + 3 Major: Jesus = Word of God Minor: Qur'an = Word of God Medius: Jesus = Qur'an. There is yet another point, that leads to the conclusion, that Jesus is in favt the centre of the Holy Qur'an. The Holy Qur'an is referred to as a Holy Book given directly from Heaven via the Holy Archangel Jibril. Therefore every single Word is considered to be the Word of God and it is urgently emphasized, that noone should dear to alter anything within the text. So far that information has clearly been pronounced, so that everyone is informed about the seriousness, with which this point of not changing the text is being taken. If one studies the Holy Qur'an, one will find the mentioned "frame-facts". But then, a little statistical test can be made to check, whether the statement is true, that the entire text is unaltered since the revelation to the Prophet. There are Surahs, that were revealed at Mekka between 610 AD and 622 AD (in number 91 Surahs). From 622 AD to 632 AD the Medina-Surahs were revealed at Medina. This means, that if the Holy Qur'an was truely unaltered since it was revealed, one will have to find the Mekka-Surahs from Surah 1 to 91 and the Medina-Surahs at the end from Sirah 92 to 114. If one checks the first ten Surahs and the last ten Surahs, one will find f i v e Medina-Surahs amongst the begining ten, and ten Mekka-Surahs at the end. This surely cannot represent the given order of the originally revealed Surahs. The question arrises, who found himself authorised to place the Medina-Surahs at the very beginning of the Holy Qur'an? As the Medina-Surahs amongst the first ten Surahs speak about J e s u s , the House of Imran and the Apostles, it is very likely, that those persons, who placed these Surahs at the very beginning of the Holy Qur'an, possessed very profound knowledge about Jesus being the Word of God and the centre of the Qur'an and therefore altered that sequence of Surahs, in order to place the most important contents in the very beginning of the Holy Scripture. Those persons must have had truely profound knowledge and felt a responsibility to act as they did. That instance is an additional hint that points to the fact, as mentioned, that J e s u s is in fact the centre of the Holy Qur'an.

BTW ISLAM IS ACTUALLY THE NEW TESTAMENT.......

Thank you for your comment. While we respect different beliefs, the Catholic Church holds that the New Testament is the fulfillment of the Old Testament and the revelation of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of the world. Islam and Christianity have significant differences in their teachings and understandings of God. Let us continue to seek truth and engage in respectful dialogue. God bless!

@@CatholicJourneyyAgreed. Islam rejects Christ’s Divinity & Crucifixion, they do not worship the One True God Unfortunately we had a Vatican II pope say otherwise And Francis prayed to Islam’s false god in 2015 and apparently hosted demon worship 2019 (pachumama idol) and 2024 (Buddhist monks who believe in multiple gods aka demons praying over him) Maybe the Bishop we shunned in 1988 isn’t our enemy Akita: Bishops vs bishops

You mean Islam took many of the excerpts from the New Testament , I have studied the Quaran and am really shocked at how much it copies the New Testament in some excerpts , and as it came after the New Testament , the NT could not have been copied from it

Exactly it’s just a copy

Thank you for your comment. While it may seem that there are fewer saints today, the Church continues to recognize holy men and women who live out extraordinary faith in our modern world. Saints aren’t only figures from the past-God continues to raise up new saints among us, even in our times. God bless!

At Claire didn’t defeat mohamedism, Jesus did

Thank you for your comment. You’re absolutely right-any victory over darkness is ultimately through the power of Jesus Christ. Saint Clare’s trust in the Eucharistic Lord is what brought about that triumph, but all glory belongs to Him alone. God bless!

What did she raise up ??? A divide of some sort ??????

Thank you for your comment! What St. Clare raised up during the famous event was the Blessed Sacrament, the Eucharist, when an invading army threatened her convent. Tradition says that her deep faith and prayer in the presence of the Eucharist led to the attackers retreating without harm. Rather than creating division, she’s remembered for her powerful faith and trust in God during a moment of danger.
