Had I never met your family and never lived at International House, might my life have been better? Hmmm. I think it might have. Doors that were once open have closed, and the comparable doors that might open become less and less useful and valuable. Of course, between 2007 and 2012, extraordinary efforts are made so that a remedy is effectively impossible or even inconceivable. As the threats, smear campaigns, provocations, and insults gradually recede, grandiose suggestions of comeuppances and compensation become more common. Does said compensation materialize? Nope. It never does.

They owe the consumers nothing, they offered a product and the consumer bought into it. It’s a fair transaction with little to no hidden stipulations. They owe their success to perseverance, hard work, luck, chance, resources and at the time of the nineteenth century systematic racism.
