The solution to that 50/50 is to jump right before the platform gets to the vine. If it's going up, you're not holding up. If it's going down, you still have time to grab the vine after. The 50/50/100 is when it dips down, waits a quarter of a second, and then immediately goes up and never goes down again.

I'm curious to know if anyone went back and did the CP1 carl box room correctly on the first pass. (Putting the POW on the cloud to reach the door, instead of killing the Muncher and triggering the Rose music.) I'm thinking it may be a false reveal, since subsequent passes of the level are different, and you're literally never able to try to get through that door again. And since you beat the level without going through it correctly, it may be a completely fake Red Herring. But I'm still curious to know what would happen. Maybe it's a Dev exit or something. If you did go back through that door, you're back in the room with the pokey & vine. I noticed the wall to the left of the door is breakable blocks. Maybe if you go back through, an off-screen Bomb opens a new hallway to the left.
