Hello all I seem to have fixed the issue of the black screen. It is probably from a faulty tape. I took my cassette out and found the tape too loose so I tightened it up and reinserted the tape and it worked. Is either from that or shining a bright flashlight into the lens

I've got everything working on mine except the actual camera lol. Both the LCD screen and viewfinder don't show anything but a black screen when in camera mode, also only shows blue in playback mode (with pre-recorded tapes). What do you think the issue could be?

Well, from my experience, the best place sadly would be ebay, but there's a chance that the battery might be bad, but you just have to take a chance on it

Is there anything displayed on it? Like lines or random stuff on it? One thing to try is connect the camera to a TV and see if it works then, if so, then the screen it's self is more then likely bad

When you get to the end of the tape to get back to the start do u have rewind the whole thing or is there a button I can press ?

Yes, you can, my battery in the camera is bad, so for me to use it, it has to be pluged in and used that way
