I play Samus over Dark Samus just because of how they look. Dark Samus jumps and dash makes me think that she’s floatier than she really is, and that thought messes up my movement.

I left competitive Melee after Brawl launched. I believed it was the next big Smash. It was so lame that I quit and started playing Halo, gears, and other shooters. Ultimate, and more accurately, QuiK Samus showed me what my old friend from melee Samus could do. This is my favorite game ever. And I thank quiK for showing me I can still improve. I curse Brawl for making me skip Wii and Wii U smash.

I love QuiK's use of wave dash. Samus is so floaty that it is actually a really good way to get the ground faster and fake out his opponent by retreating back. Looking like Melee

0:40 Charge shot has a different height (usually lower is better so Dark Samus is better), F Smash sweet spot is different (neutral), Dark Samus has a better roll but worse hurtbox shifting on jump.

most of Samus stronger attacks have fire properties, while dark samus has electric properties, meaning samus can get rid of bomb attacks easier (mainly against the links)

the mega man couldve been doing ledge drop, slight drift away, upB and drift in gets you real high, keeps your airdodge and double jump to manage disadvantage or get to a plat, and upB has an i-frame that can sometimes help out never see megas pick it. usually its not suuuuper great but some matchups it really helps getting out of ledge pressure for almost free, as long as you arent too predictable with it

The best thing to do against samus ledge trapping with bombs is stay there or drop down and grab on again. Take the hits and wait for a moment where they have to set up again or charge shot

Samus and Dark Samus feel SO different movement wise. I play Samus because her movement feels better. Maybe Quik thinks the same?

Something about Dark Samus' jump makes her feel floatier. Maybe it's the animation? Either way, for whatever reason I prefer Samus too!

@@silvesta5027 It’s the dashing for me. The jumps are noticeable, but Dark Samus’s dash feels clunky, despite the fact I play characters with similar animations. The slow dash plus glide just feels wrong. I have the same problem with Pyra, although less so.

Samus Players deserve more toxicity and bullying

every. character. is. annoying. to. play. Dont single out samus mains because everyone is annoying to play. You love abusing dk's terrible disadvantage but you die by getting hit four times. You love destroying little mac but then ko punch. Every character has a wall that you have to break to get the first hit (aka nuetral). Some characters have better nuetrals then others, but it does even out by either having a mediocre disadvantage/advantage or sucking at recovering. One last thing, you are probably a giant hypocrite if you say that samus players suck or whatever as any character you main probably has an annoying ass gimmick that people hate.
