their starting lineup of vassell, castle cp3, barnes, and wemby should be perfect .the missing piece is a co-star that will replace barnes or cp3 with champagnie. hopefully we get a top 3 this draft because a vassell castle flagg champagnie and wemby is a championship lineup.

Can't have Castle in there. Desperately need Sochan back. Castle's shooting is WAY WAY below everage, and he's just not a rebounder or defender against bigs. Sochan is.

@TheRadamus sochan is better off the bench because he's more versatile. You can't let castle sub in for Barnes.also, Let the rookie develop because the kid have heart.

@ Castle can't shoot and really isn't a good rebounder. Sochan is good at both, except 3pt range. Castle doesn't have 1/2 the heart of Sochan. He needs to devolp off the bench. He will get plenty of minutes that way without destroying team chemistry. Unlikely that Barnes and CP3 will both be there next year. Good chance will both be gone.

It's nonsense to say Castle should be starting because he had good stats and the team had fairly good record in the games he did start. Those games were mainly against mediocre to bad teams/home games/visiting teams with important injured players. We he gets his overall fg% over 40% and 3p% at least 33% (whether he's starting or coming off the bench) and he's doing ok it at least occasionally against good teams on the road, then he will deserve to be a regular starter, not before if the Spurs want to keep improving. Also, Sochan has a fart better ts% than Castle and has 3 times has many rebounds per game.

That negative Sochan correlation is broken. Sochan and Castle both belong in "the" core lineup.

Wemby and cp3 are a given. Barnes is the bench vet. Vassell and Keldon ought to be competing for that final core spot. I'd ship them both off, with picks, for Kuminga.

Castle needs to be in the starting line up.. He just does much more... he can shoot and defend but what he can do much better than Jeremy - Castle can make plays and opens up the middle more for Wemby since he can take outside shots.. .

Castle should come off the bench most of the time, for sure. He's too below average in too many areas. His main problem is shooting. His FG% IS 39, below average, and his 3pt% is 25.2 WAY WAY below average. That's horrible for somebody who wants to be a point guard. His assists aren't that great he's got the fewest rebounds of any player with more than 20 minutes. He has just too many weaknesses to start except as a spot starter for SG, SF, and occasionally PG and PF. A player with that skill set should get plenty of playing time over the course of a year.. He definitely should be on the floor in the 4th quarter in every game that the spurs are way ahead. He should also be brought in to defend scorers. He should not be allowed to start if there is any other option.

Castle can't shoot. He's not a natural PG regardless of what he thinks. He's a perfact player to spot start and to close out games when their ahead. Paul is the second best player on the team right now, and is a natural PG. i noticed since Sochan has been out he's been playing SG and SF mainly and he's been doing a lot better there(but not good there either). They've been playing Barnes more as PF which is not his natural position. He's struggling some there.
