Shabir Ali admitted on camera that the palimpsest was erased and rewritten. He said that they always knew about the different Qurans with different words and meanings and Muslims are repeating what they've been told. His admission is very similar to Sheikh Yasir Qadhi who said that the standard narrative has holes in it and doesn't answer pressing questions from western scholars who are very right about points they bring up.

The three Suras that Jay sites in one of the screens are all very benign as to their relationship to what we know is Islam and could easily have been written about Christianity. Was this simply more evidence that the Qur'an, if it was ever written, was simply based upon pre-existing Christian ideas, doctrines, writings, teachings in gatherings or even possibly someone's personal writings? I cannot see that this manuscript proves the existence of the Qur'an or of Islam as it is currently.

Here is an answer to the problem? Look at the Turin shroud they originally took samples with a medieval date from those original samples. Next, at a later date, they took samples from other areas of the shroud and they were surprised by much earlier dates than the first . The reason being the original specimems were taken from a time period on the shroud that corresponds with the repair work undertaken by nuns after it was damaged in a fire. Could the samples taken be possibly contaminated by what thw manuscript has been through and the enviroments over the centuries that it has been in and even the different peoples who owned it?. And no im not defending its authenticity because it is scripture to alot of.people but could.it be just.contamimation over time can setumes.give an innaccurate date range for the results.

Was the late seventh century script invented in the late seventh century? When using the presupposition that the same Sanaa script was being copied much earlier throughout the 6th century. Then you could have a warrior prophet who is having scribes insert his sayings into a book that is a Hodge podge of Christian, Jewish and Zorastrian material. It would be necessary to have solid evidence that there was an earlier script that dominated the middle east before the first Caliph. Otherwise the Sanaa manuscript could possibly be earlier and the folk tales of a mythical Arabian Robin Hood king Arthur hybrid caravan robber. In my view without knowing the complete picture and evolution of middle eastern scripts, claiming a much later dating is not conclusive.

Our faith is fine. There is a continuing theme of God providing atonement for his people from Genesis 3:21, through the sacrifices of Mosaic Law, all the way up to the crucifixion and ascension of Christ. A long continuous theme. But you muslims say allah is the same God - the God of Abraham - but there is no atonement in your religion. We don't have an inconsistency but you do.
