No. You are wrong. He is also wrong. Just because Indian Army has zero tolerance for anti India ethos doesn’t mean Indian non-Hindus subscribe to that thought. Non-Hindus can never be pro India because they have “faith” in a far away foreign land which was always “foreign” to them.

I totally agree with Mr Padmasenan that religion should not be part of the conversation with s..not only service officers but any civilian in public. Religion is a private and personal matter and is just between the worshipper and the worshipped. It is therefore utterly wrong to ask for details of one's religion even in a biostatistics or a resume of a person. What is the point in getting to know one's religion? It is the cause of much disturbance and contention.

What a ntcase of a 'General' is this guy? He says he was 'protecting the girls as a parent' by denying them entry into a library. Claims that as a redressal and walk-back from his patriarchal policy he even created a bus service to go to get the girls to the library....and ZERO girls showed up. So, where was the need to 'protect their transit' by 'denying entry into the library' when there were no girls interested in going to the library in the first place? It seems that this Mullah mentality ntcase instituted a Sharia based policy; and then also wants to blame the muslim girls for not taking advantage of his generous 'bus service'.

Even if I take his word. Muslim still eat beef since 1920. It seems they don't care about the feeling of fellow hindu. They eat beef, they still pray inside structure which were hindu temple and which were broken rebuilt as mosque by muslim rulers like Aurangzeb to mock hindus. Action speaks larger then hollow speech. Stop eating beef, handover our temples so that we can rebuilt it. Kashi viswanath temple is live proof how a temple was destroyed and mosque built over it to mock hindu. Still muslim live in denial. How do you expect a hindu to react when they see gyanvapi and then know muslim were doing wazu over a structure similar to shivling. If the general speaks truth . Speak truth now without been afraid of the STSJ gang in muslim community.

"Was the PM hostile, was he fraught?" Graduate to "conditional admirer or critic?", only to receive answers quite to the contrary. Counter question: Does the anchor have preconceived notions? Or perhaps an agenda beyond the journalistic? Also generalsaab, it is better, don't you think, to learn about those who fought back, rather than worship invaders and name streets after them...? Which is perhaps why you are a celebrated Indian perhaps? So no gap there, just juxtaposing, which is fair and should be done in this case where we have been made out to be a defeatist civilisation. Finally there is no lesson to learn from the Mughals, who raped, killed, pillaged, forcefully converted--and that that bit of our history will never ever be repeated, wouldn't you agree generalsaab?

While the words " Hindu" as per RSS (Sangh ) means the people who are geographically placed on the land mass described by the civilization of Indus on the sides of Indus with their unique culture & religion with many forms & development. So to me Gen sahib is going by street ( or average man's) notion of the word Hindu which is in popular currency , as it was used to describe the people & their religion by muslim invaders plus lately by english , not as Savarkarji & other RSS stalwarts have described it .

After listening to his interview i can only say Denial is the biggest challenge for change. In any busy streets of India the only people who's religion is easily identifiable these days are Muslims. Which was not the case 30 years back. Even small kids are not spared to showcase their religous identfies these days. If it was practised for 100 of years then i dont see as an issue. No one can deny its only in the last few decades such a change has happened in Muslim community and the worrying part is it is universal across India. Religion should be kept within walls of home and worship places irrespective of any religion in securlar country. If every one wants to show case their religious identifies obviously conflicts would arise. He sounds to be like a moderate muslim but i feel he is hadicaped to look at the real issues in his community. Wish people like him take forward such dialogues with majority community as well as introspect within their communities.

Even in 1960s in school in Indore and at large in the society we had no concept of religions being at loggerheads or took cognisance of who was who . It was so much more joy sharing and rich culturally .These are dirty games the politicians play and in doing so they don’t realise what lower depths they themself fall to ! Basically no exposure to other communities, having a superiority complex and a narrow outlook has made all the RSS followers ignorant hateful and not thinking for themselves ! No one is speaking the “truth” here as Me General alludes to and thanks Burkha for it. The major issue is that “Hindutva” is being talked about in a negative way while “Islam” is being peddled as “peaceful”. We have to understand that “Islam” doesn’t fit in any narrative of a civilised society. Islam is not a religion, it’s a “conquering doctrine”. Their book isn’t “inspiring philosophy”, their book is a “code” which was made for Arabia. You gain zero knowledge from the Sky Book but you get so much intolerance and bigotry from that.

Really?? 70 years of Congress rule and still in 2005 the Sacchar committee finds that the condition of Muslims is worse than SC/STs in India. The point is Congress single-handedly ruined the Muslim community for good in India. By pampering Muslims, Congress only did vote bank politics. Secularism in India is soft bigotry of low expectations (Google that if you don't understand that phrase)

@@srinisbir8781 My heartfelt commiserations and sympathies. Is India safer today? Perhaps large terrorist events fomented from across the border have come down but the a newer danger which is more deep and insidious has replaced it...scores of Indians of a particular religious leaning are feeling alienated. @@actioergosum5193 China sitting on the border is China's aggression, it has not taken any land from India. Xi Jinping is a war monger bully, who will bite the dust in due time. As far as certain religion feeling alienated, it is just a normalization from weaning them off over pampering done during UPA tenure. When one is brought down to earth from cloud nine, the reaction is normal to what these minorities are feeling in India. Muslims want secularism in all the countries that they are not majority in. Name one country that is secular with Muslim majority. You will be scratching your head.. Manipur is burning due to supreme court's granting Meiti the ST category. Gen Zum as he is called is too naive to praise Bhagwat and Modi. He is privileged Muslim. There is no open criticism of BJP top leaders but praise. He isn’t calling a spade a spade but praising them for whatever reasons he may have. He says Sarkari Muslaman is sarcastic but he fits into it well. His brother Nasiruddin Shah is more direct in criticizing govt. He hasn’t realized that top Muslim leaders met Bhagwat but no reduction in hate agenda, in fact it’s more during Karnataka elections. We don’t want balancing act, lies to be called out. Calling Modi a good orator is disgrace to the word itself. Modi talks of sabka saath… but most divisive. The hate is percolated top down. 😎😎Bhaktas will like the praise of Modi.
