Well considering the cards cost at most 25 dollars, unless you buy the excluded cost commanders... For an average commander deck that can very well cost 200+ You can play about 8 decks, and not saying a lot of mana dorks, rocks are the same so each deck probably only costs about 15$ or less. Which means probably near to 15 of those interesting and fun decks, and you probably are able to upgrade them reasonably with some cards you opened/from another deck they made but was excluded for cost or what so. (Like soul ring or just better mana dorks) Tho switching some of the cards around might be a bit annoying when you switch up the decks. Heck, get like 10 decks at the price of 1 this is pretty darn nice deal. Although, eventually you will still run out of cash due to our incapability to stop watching this awesome channel and your infinite gyre for more decks. So uhm, yeah...

I think this is my favourite segment you've done so far. I have a soft spot for The Scarab God and you've done a great job defining your functional packages to create a very synergistic deck. To add on to your suggested upgrades, I would say Throne of the God-Pharaoh has the potential to ratchet up your damage per zombie. Most of them enter play tapped and you're looking to attack with everything you can, so it seems like a natural fit that won't break the bank. - Jim

So I played your Zada deck... I was playing against a Doran deck, an elf that focuses on discard and muldrotha. For the first few turns I ramped and fumbled a bit by drawing 5 cards 3 times, then discarding to hand size by 14 cards and thanks to an enchantment, lost 28 life going to 12. The. The literal next turn, thanks to dictate of karamettra, I just drew a lot of my deck and exiled the rest with the spark of creativity. Made a ridiculous amount of tokens and forgetting I had impact tremors in my hand then closed out the game by making 40 goblins from empty the warrens and left one guy to 8 then swung with 3 goblin dark dwellers, two tokens that had haste, double strike and trample only had 3 blockers. Also generating over 40 red mama and storm count up to 20. Zada is fun.

This is hilarious that you put out this deck tech the same day I was tuning the build for my Scarab God deck that I'm busy brewing. I was sad to see you excluded Rooftop Storm since it makes all zombies free. Throne of the God-Pharaoh can also be deadly as it deals damage at the end step and the sorceries create tapped zombies. Undead Alchemist can be a game ender as well. Overall I see a lot of similarities and I'm happy I watched it and knowing that I am on the right track with my brewing. Keep on being awesome!

Thanks for these videos, I love them. I have even christened my gaming room/man cave The Commander's Quarters. :) Two upgrade recommendations I would make though is adding Vanquisher's Banner and Rooftop Storm. These make a killer combo with Scarab God's scrying ability. You scry, line up as many Zombies as possible, then as you cast each of them for free, you get to draw a new zombie and repeat. As well Rooftop Storm and Havengul Lich combo fantastically, then you can cast any zombie from your graveyard for just 1 mana! BOOM!

If you’re looking for a combat-based zombie deck, then yes. It puts in serious work with Grimgrin and Varina. If you’re looking to drain your opponents without attacking (like this deck), it’s not really necessary.

Late comment, barely discovered the channel. With the sets that have come out since this episode the best additions i can think of are Gleaming Overseer, Lazotep Reaver and Vizier of the Scorpion for cheap two creatures in one with upside, and Rise of the Dreadmarn and Haunting Voyage for boardwipe recovery and mass recursion.

Love the videos and totally went out and bought most of this deck! Can't wait to try it out next week. Just be ready to fiddle the decklist on TCG Player since a lot of these cards come from other vendors with the $2 minimum. I had about 25 packages when I first added this list haha. I managed to get it down to 2 or 3 by cutting all the basic lands and some non-basic lands as well as about 5 other cards. Did not have to cut anything important, which was nice. Another awesome video. I discovered your channel not to long ago and have been wanting to build on of these deck. I was deciding between phelddagrif and kozilek. Ultimately I went with kozi, and for 40 dollars I was able to get the deck kozi included along with some other upgrades. Also TCGplayer is a awesome sponsor. After making my purchase I got a email that one of the cards was inventoried wrong, and was not shipped. It was a land that cost .06 cents, so they refunded the .06 cents and gave me $5 in store credit for the mishap. Can’t believe it. Anyways my ranting is over keep up the good work.

Another upgrade option: I love Vengeful Pharaoh! Less than 2 bucks. Discard it or sack it, then when it's in your yard it's removal for any creature silly enough to attack you. It bounces to the top of your library to draw, lather, rinse, repeat.

Magic Miracles I think I know why these were not chosen. Midnight Reaper and Graveborn Muse can cause you to draw yourself out/drain yourself far too easily. Lord of the Accursed doesn’t do much when you’re not looking to attack often (remember, this deck wants to drain the opponents, not get caught up in combat). Rooftop Storm just feels like “win more” in this deck. It’s not needed, because you’re not keeping mana open for combat tricks and the like (again, it’s not a combat-based deck).

As I mentioned in my other comment, Rooftop combos beautifully with Vanquisher's banner and Scarab's scry ability. SO you stack your zombies, play one draw one etc. etc. helps to quickly flood the board. :) And makes reanimating with Havengul Lich quicker and cheaper.

Currently running Varina as my commander for zombie tribal. Definitely gonna be throwing some of these cards in there. In addition, I think a solid upgrade for the deck as well would be Rooftop Storm, and Liliana Untouched By Death. When she come into play, you can -3 her to cast zombies from your graveyard for the turn. Rooftop storm makes zombies cast for 0. Dump your entire graveyard on the feild for free.

Scarab God is my main, and I've built my deck around not having to cast him because as soon as he comes on, everyone immediately counters/targets/exiles him before I even get to equip him with anything. And even if I have a counter spell, someone else has a kill spell for him.

Really nice decks, but needs more Lilianas imo :P Jokes aside, I think Lich Lord of Unx is probably the best addition to this deck, as he can make Zombie token, as well as draining your opponents for the amount of zombies in play. Its price is also not too crazy at about 15$.

I like it for big blueblack decks with extra turn effects.. as these give extra triggers for scarab. Zombies are a good sub theme but I think stealing your opponents creatures and cloning is good with a rise from the dead commander

just curious why dictate of erobos or grave pact were mot upgrade options at the end? when ever a zombie dies each opponent sacs a creature and with overseer of the damned and a sac outlet it becomes a board wipe.

undead alchemist! He is very good, providing some serious mill and aditional targets to reanimate with the god, and you don't really care about the absence of damage as the focus of the deck is to drain them out anyways.

btw, vengeful dead: when any token zombie like the ones from curse of disturbance dies, it will not go to the grave yard and you will not get the trigger. Well at least thats how i think it works

Deck could use Noxious Ghoul. Completely disrupts the opponents' armies, and if you manage to get so many zombies out that Scarab God dies, you still get him back.

I just bought the Undead Unleashed precon. I liked Wilhelt but I don't know why it didn't work that well for me. I changed a few of the cards, put Wilhelt in the 99 and put The Scarab God as the commander, and it worked really well. I think there are still some things to be changed, but a lot of what comes in the precon is in your suggestions, so, maybe that's why it worked so well. Gonna change a few more cards with your suggestions for this one in mind!

A good cheap card for this would be Graf Harvest, really underlooked zombie tribal card in my opnion, who doesnt want all your zombies having menace? Lord of the Accursed is also a good slot if you have it, all get +1/+1 and has the menace ability. Ordered this deck but not all cards were available so imma be slotting those two in and seeing how she goes!

It feels like Exquisite Blood should be in this deck. Whenever an opponent loses life you gain that much life is a great counter to the universal agro you will be getting from this deck.

The new amass mechanic is amazing for scarab god and if you want to get spicy add god eternal kefnet and some extra turn spells it's so good with the upkeep scry (extra turn spells are good alone too)

Hey! Cool deck! Do you think Dark Salvation can also find its way into this deck? If I remember right it is XXBB, give a creature -X-X and summons X 2/2 zombie tokens. It seems really good for being a small removal and in late game can just mash up a ton of zombies for you to use.

Definitely a consideration! This deck doesn't ramp as quickly as you would want for that card in general though. Might have to make some adjustments
