Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but every use of remaster I have ever seen has been has been a minor graphical and audio update on the same platform. That's not what we need for Dino Crisis. We need a full scale, extremely faithful remake to the core elements that made Dino Crisis such an amazing game. Something that preserves the ambience, the tense, unsettling atmosphere, the element of unpredictability that came with enemies that could actively pursue you to places you didn't expect. Making sure that the scarcity of lethal ammunition is also maintained would also go a long way to making sure the game lands on its feet. And of course, a solid soundtrack that pays tribute to, but improves upon, the original. So RE2R approach to gameplay, with RE3R approach to soundtrack.

So the first and second are my first games i ever beat solo and some of my most favorite. However with the utter failure of the third and the decrease in intrest of dino games and recent discoveries in realistic dinosaur anatomy i think they believe they dont know how to adjust the game to meet the expectations of this current generation. If they just keep it the same people will complain its not realistic. If they change the models itll cost alot of money with no guarantee of proper profit. Every year i fall for the fake E3 reveal of dino crisis but i think theyve put it on the backburner because they dont know how to approach it.

I always loved the story for DC1, and thought it would make an excellent movie. Fun fact, the first time I went to Japan in the summer of 2000, through a mutual friend I met the guy who did all the modelling and animations for the T. Rex in this game! His apartment was literally a block away from where I was staying, and one time he took me there and showed me a bunch of the stuff he'd done on the T. Rex, as well as some stuff for other games.

I agree, but I doubt it will happen. Capcom is too focused on its Street Fighter, Marvel Fighting games as well as Resident Evil. They don't really focus on the smaller titles. And from Dino Crisis 3 it didn't fair well, probably mostly due to it being exclusive to XBox I think 360 to be exact. Not sure if that one was still a capcom title or if some other company bought it. But either way I'm not expecting that game to ever see light of day again. Sad to think that.

But I just don't see Dino Crisis coming back.

What made me fell in love with these games (besides the adrenaline one felt as a kid playing them) is the pseudo-scientific plots and the big secret lab environments. Dino Crisis, Resident Evil and specially Half Life planted the scientific seed in me and marked me for life.

I didn't play DC1, but I did play DC2 and I know EXACTLY what he means about the vibes. The game wasn't just scary but downright creepy at times. There was always this cryptic sense of doom. The underwater lab part of DC2 will always be super spooky to me.

In all honesty, Dino Crisis 2 scared me the most because of the Underwater Facility Level. Just like you it was scary playing the game on the land but when I played the game IN THE WATER, The Terror Became Too Real. Among all the survival horror games I've played, fighting for your life in the water scares me the most. Fear The Ocean!

I can really imagine how intense this game was. Nothing beats you being chased and trying to get away. I LOVE how you're running and then get to the door, only for it to be a slow cutscene of her walking through the door. I was laughing every time! Also, the dinosaurs jumping out of no where for that scare, definitely reminiscent of the dogs jumping through the windows in Resident evil.

If it’s in the style of RE2 2019, it’s be over the shoulder, but that would make it even easier to hide things just out of view. Though what I’d like to see them do is make the animals as scientifically accurate as they possibly can. Complete with sounding more like what scientists believe them to sound like. I don't thing the generation of parents that grew up on JP would say that about a game like that, im a parent from the JP generation. grew up on RE (my fav game series) DC silent hill (survival horror is my fav genre) and I grew up on JP (fav movie) I introduce my daughter to the JP series (her fav movie is JW) we love the series, we have a ps4 pro and I have all the RE games she plays JW evolution she seen the RE games and asked to play with me and so i introduced her to the RE series and she loves them. Would love a DC remake/ boot.

I played this game so much when I was younger and is still one of my survival horror games ever! Im 24 and would love it if capcom remade this game like how they have with RE 1, 2, or 3. Gotta keep giving the game the attention it deserves so hopefully they will! I still have almost all the puzzles memorized.

Another nice thing about this game is the 3 different endings depending on the choices you make. Both games were amazing! Still get freaked out in the second game.

The opening cutscene with Cooper being chased through a pitch black forest by a massive T-Rex that easily knocked over trees was one of the scariest parts of this game. you dreaded having to deal with such a creature. Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 was a cuddly teddy bear compared to this behemoth. it only got worse when the T-Rex found a way inside the facility, making no where feel safe. I was fearing a wall would burst open at any minute and the T-Rex would come walking through. it was already bad enough that Raptors could follow you into other rooms, now the T-Rex could follow you too? An updated version of this game with modern graphics would be most welcomed in the horror video game community. pick your poison. deal with door opening Raptors inside that'll gang up on you, or deal with a unstoppable juggernaut T-Rex outside. don't bother with the roof. Pteradons are waiting for you up there

Just as Sphere Hunter said in her video about this game, the most common enemy in this game "The Raptors" are as hard to kill as the strongest enemies in the first RE game, "The Hunters" this game was not only terrifying, but also difficult, all immerse in a chilling and tense atmosphere, and also puzzles and mysteries to resolve, plus one nice soundtrack that give that scary atmosphere a good tone. Capcom... for the love of Regina's sexy look, please, make a Remake of this game and give RE games a small break xD

I hope you Japanese game developers in Capcom learned from the rushed failure that was re3 r. I remember when I would play this game, since I had no idea what I was doing (was like 10) I’d just trap a raptor behind the laser gates, and just watch as the raptors would repeatedly run headfirst into the laser gates. It was hilarious to me for whatever reason.

Im surprised that Capcom isn't doing a renake or reboot of this series considering there's so many people wanting one and like 99%, of the RE fan base were asking for a reboot/make of this before they do anymore RE games that shkukd really say something. RE is fav game series and I love anything RE (except for t the movies) plus with the success of the JW series they could introduce the game and add a whole new fan base from the kids too young to know the game but live the JW series. I grew up on Jp also I was 8 its my fav movie of all times and i like the seties my daughter is 6 and she seen the J w movies and loves em she has all the Dino toys I showed her jp and she fell in love with anything jp/jw I grew up on RE and DC shebplays the RE's with me on our ps4 , she would like a game like that o wish I had the DC fames to play with her. They could literally double or more their fanbase they would definitely make tons if money and not lose a penny on it I dont understand why they don't realize it and give what the fans are asking for , thats my thoughts and reasonings on it.sorry for such a long rant

I really hope the recent success of the Resident Evil remakes encourages a remake of Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2. I haven't played 1 in a while (due to not figuring out where to go and how tense I got), but 2 is a classic from my childhood. I think upon replay its more of a survival thriller, whereas the first is a survival horror. Great series, and I really hope it gets revived soon!

I also had a huge thing for dinosaurs at that age, so that is a testament to how scary this game truly was if I couldn't play it.

Yes this game is exactly why I want a modern survival horror where you have to survive on one of the islands. The eereness created by labs and abandoned jungle outposts coupled with learning what's happening in the aftermath of a disaster created the perfect atmosphere for a scary but also really intriguing setting. A game that can capture this again with a big open island to explore with different species roaming their habitats would be amazing and lend to so many possibilities for situations and world building. I want it to happen so much

Dino Crisis succeeded where Resident Evil failed. The puzzles made sense, the atmosphere was actually tense and scary, the enemies were actually intimidating, and you could walk and shoot at the same time.

I played this a quite a bit when I was younger... while my dad was playing Silent Hill. They are very similar, and it used to scare the crap out of me. I never actually finished the game, but I got pretty far at one point. However, I don't know how you remember as many details as you do, things are very slowly coming back to me watching this.

Dino Crisis is like Jurassic Park coz ur in a "Facility man made environment" Then the sequel is the Lost World coz the setting is in the Jungle "Natural Environment" for the dinos then slowly get into modern day like the Dinos getting ported in the city but in reverse

I could feel the anxiety in your voice every time you ran in to something instead of running past it. Like your whole body tenses up. Same happened to me while watching and when I was 4 or 5 trying to play the game.
